I genuinely think it has a lot to do with growing up in a hermit kingdom, South Africans weren’t even allowed television there until the mid 70s lest the relentless racist message be undermined. Think about the level of greed/narcissism you need to have $500m in the bank and want more, more, more. Would be horrifically selfish people, how could they care about anyone else enough to hold friendships down?

And then once they're outed as being that wealthy, how would anyone new in their lives view them as anything but an ATM or them trust anyone new. Everything would feel like a transaction rather than connection

facism is about dictatorship (no democracy), control of assets by the state and an ideology that puts something above the individual (the king, the nation, god, a race, the social blob). Even if you choose to add some vague far right concept to the definition (whatever that means) socialism still ticks all the other boxes. Literally all of them. It can not even be close to the opposite end of the spectrum.
