Hope he proves me wrong Dom. but in a side that has struggled for most of the year he has not shown enough at the Sharks.
Either way you look at it, he has been on an AFL list for 2 years, a BOG or three wouldn't go astray.

Recently when we have actually strung a few wins together he has been largely inneffectual.

Personally I wouldn't even keep him at Moss St..... but maybe ..... just maybe that is why I am sitting here. ;)

He has been largely ineffectual on the stats sheet , but We have scored many goals from him simply providing a contest or assist.

Every now and then He does something that makes you go "Geez! how did he do that?"

He needs to have more of those moments per game though.

He also is an excellent kick and has shown a bit rucking..

He has come a long way from last year and another year would not hurt.

That jumper is a dog's breakfast, Avid_Avenger.

I would go with the purple haze for home, and reverse for away. Very simple.

Amen

I agree with perhaps the addition of a very small red/white/green emblem in the top corner. But on the other hand they could play in pyjamas if it meant we were going to win finals :D

Couldn't agree more

I think The Wiz will go around again. I hope so too. He's hit a rough patch form-wise but that's all. Hasn't lost much of his pace, skill, heart etc .... just confidence. C'mon Jeffrey prove everyone wrong these next 6 weeks! :thumbsu:

The wiz's..last 3 games have been awful, & in-between those 3 terrible games has been club suspension...he is definitely on a thin line. I reckon he's 50-50 for this weeks game v Port in actually getting a game.

Saying that...I hope he does play another year...I love the entertainment...but probably not the best thing for our club to move forward?

Realistically he's lost a yard or two of pace - quite easy to spot. He's so easily run around now, seems to have lost a lot of agility too over the past year. This is impacting on his skills becoz he doesn't have the same amount of space etc becoz he can't burn his opponent or hit a contest quite as fast.

This isn't a new thing- Shane Parker was great in 2006 and an absolute dud in 2007 just becoz age caught up with him. Maybe the same has happened with the Wiz.

But I agree he's totally lacking confidence and this is hindering his skills as well.

I think the Wiz may get one more year just becoz of the amount of players that will exit at years end. We will need some experienced troops but I think he's had it as a permanent small forward.

Time to move him up the park into the guts for long stints and see if he can cut it there consistently. The seasons shot, giv the Wiz a chance!

National pick 3 Bell
Pick 22 M Carr
Pick 38 Black
Pick 54 Webster
Pick 70 Browne
Pre Season 3 Druffield/Farmer
Rookie 3 McManus
19 Dunn
35 Smith
51 Extra Rookies for 2009/2010
67 Extra Rookies for 2009/2010

Not point delisting/retiring any more players than that as we only get pick 86 pick in national draft, 11 pick in Pre Season and pick 83 in rookie draft.

Trade
Murphy for a third round pick.

Add the priority pick and you are right, list management has been soft for the last 3-4 years and our lack of drafting is now really hurting. Bondy has his work cut out for him.

I agree, though I think I'm living in denial. I simply refuse to believe that the end is nigh for our Purple Jesus. :(

There will be a resurrection!

Doubt it.

Form slumps are almost always fatal when you're elderly.

There will always be those what if questions about him for the rest of his days...

we are 2 years behind in our development due to the short sighted trading of picks to bring Tarrant & Solomon to the club after 06. We really can't afford to keep players like The Wizz who seem to be on their last legs. I'd like nothing more than to see him turn back the clock but I'm sure if the coaching staff think he's gone it will be bye bye. I mean when was the last time he played a game like little Rioli or Wonnamirri? Wonna didn't go high in the draft their must be a few like him running around out there.
I've loved the enthusiasm that the younger players have brought. Last week it was the hard attack on the ball from BOB and Mayne that set the standard during the 2nd quarter. Well them and the old fella Macca ;)
