What will sh*t me is if the justification for lighter treatment is that "it's finals time". If it's punishable then the punishment should be consistent throughout the season for a whole lot of reasons. Not least, the 16-game deregistration rule.

It's like the stupidity of people praising the umpires for "putting the whistle away" in the final quarter of a GF. If it's legit to put the whistle away then do it all season, not for one stanza of the most important game of the year. Why should the rules be enforced differently for different games?

I think it's also the delayed reaction. Greene is standing above the Bont and then a second or two later, he drops to the knees. Had they both been on the ground then accidents occur as you grapple however this was premeditated neanderthal reaction.
