Only thing that would have saved him was Raya coming out. But he was backpedalling.
Stitched up by a horrific back pass, did the team thing. Not sure he needed to but I guess we’ll never know.

Personally I would rather we cop the goal and back us in to go on and win.

Not having him against Liverpool will be a huge loss.

Like to hear the audio explaining the "clear and obvious" error part of the initial yellow card decision that got VAR involved in the first place.

It would go something like "it's a pretty clear red card mate, have a look at the TV why dont you".

That could be a title deciding red card, with the ridiculous amount of points it takes to beat City

3 dropped today and then Saliba out for Liverpool and Newcastle away, Chelsea too? Getting 0-1 points from the next two would be on the cards now

If it's last man then it's 1 game. Not sure why people think a red is auto 3. Only for violent conduct is it 3.

If it’s thought that one loss means a title deciding red card, then in reality the title was already decided.

Speaking of length of bans, Kudus

Wtf was he thinking. Could maybe argue accidental of the first double hander to the face. Definitely accidental head clash with Richarlison. And then goes and whacks Sarr in the head too.

Obviously gets a 3 game ban for 1 red, but if they deem the vdv incident a red on its own, can games get added for the Sarr one?

With a 1 game ban for a tactical red. It would be worth giving one away in the final 5-10 mins of a game that far out from goal.

Why would a player intentionally miss their next game? It wouldn't be worth it.

Didn't see the Sarr one, but VDV was a straight red imo.

Well done to Sarr for not falling on his arse - I guess his teammates had already overplayed that move

No argument with that result. There will always be a howler match throughout the season but its getting really bad that we have now had 3 games down to 10 men. We are currently our worst enemy at the moment which is costing us points and with an opponent like city, can ill afford to be doing. I will say that VAR is only to overrule the ref's when it's a clear an obvious error, I don't think the referees original decision was a clear and obvious error.

It's probably hard for the on-field ref to judge whether the foul denied an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. Hence the benefit of the doubt and the yellow card. But it was clear from the replay that the next nearest Arsenal defender was a mile away. It was a good referral by VAR and the red card was a valid outcome.
