Yes, Sheedy did a terrible job in picking recycled players and trying to get his fifth flag but the Bombers aren't going to have 5 years of downtime trying to rebuild. They shall be amongst finals contention within a good two-three year period.

They have missed the finals for the last 3 years....if they miss the finals for another 2-3 years it will be 5 years of downtime for the dons! When was the last time the dons missed the finals for 5 consecutive years??

Yes, very health sign when a club is still relying on the same old faces who have retired or are close to it. You would hope that the to 10 would be made up of players who would be around for a few more years but this is not the case with the bombers.

Saw Collingwood vs. Essendon in about round 16 this year. Jay Nash was terrible... Continued to get turned inside-out by D.Thomas, leading to a couple of straight-forward Magpie goals early on. (even Peter Costello was horrified) Can't say I've seen much more of Nash, but at the same time I havn't heard much good either

And Houli had almost identical game time and stats as Brad Dick in 2007 and the two were taken at about the same time in the 2006 national draft....How often do you hear Collingwood supporters spruiking Brad Dick? Not very often...

how would you know? You can't be any older than 11. That would have made you about 4 when Essendon won in 2000. Please don't comment on seasons before you were born
