Caracella was a star that year: 489 disposals, 138 marks, 35 goals, 10 Brownlow votes. That's a good year in anyones book.

Moorcroft and Barnard were both solid contributors that year, fitting into forward and backlines respectively that were superior to Geelong's this year (i know you won't agree with that but it's true). Geelong had a better midfield for sure, but we still had the most possessions on average of any team that year. Geelong didn't even take that honour this season.

Who has been thrown on the scrap heap. And if you are talking about delistings, does that not mean every club throws players on the scrap heap?

I think you might find hawkins will again struggle for consistent games, given Geelongs depth up forward. He will become a very good player, at least he has the makings, but hey, I don;t dismiss players without giving them a chance to prove themselves.
