A case in point is Essendon fans piping up in this thread during the year after a win spruiking that Dodoor isn't that bad after all. They just get sucked in by the cult.

The fans need to demand he goes. And that Sheedy goes. And that the coteries piss and let actual football people do their jobs.

The fans can’t do shit. Blaming the fans is something that was already done before. We’ve been demanding the changes you say for years. What happened after that? We were called entitled by Worsfold and others for demanding a successful club. We were called the most impatient fan base in the league chasing sugar hits because apparently we’re the only club that cannot demand success. The only one where it is acceptable to be waiting for 20 years without a finals win and being called entitled for wanting even minor successes such as maybe a home final, a good percentage or a 10 goal win.

Dodoro is not involved in list management now and only deals with re-signing players and negotiating contracts despite our demands for him to be entirely removed. So what can the fans do beyond that?

Many fans don’t want Sheedy near the club, but how many are involved enough with the club to be voting board members in and out?

Blaming the fans is ridiculous because at the end of the day, it’s just another excuse to continue a loser culture.

Winning a final is somehow this grand achievement for Essendon when it means nothing for any other established club. That’s how low standards and expectations at Essendon are and that’s the core issue. No more cheering awful wins and no more setting the premiership bar to a final appearance or an elimination final win. Loser mentality.

Already happened. Essendon have decreased in members this year despite the good start and lag over 20k behind the other big 4.

I remember when Mark Thompson went there after he stepped down as our coach, and how shocked he was at seeing how Essendon are run like a bush league club in comparison to Geelong.

He did a lot of good for the club after realising what a shambles it was in at the time, he assisted in the multi-million dollar development of the new training facilities, really helped the coaches behind the scenes at the time, was a big fan of Robinson and how he helped Geelong's fitness/strength. The Dank thing was something they didn't expect, had that not happened i wouldn't be surprised if Mark had of turned the club around from 2012. If you take out the whole supplements scenario, such a missed chance for the club.

Which is called the EFC Hangar. Funnily enough having the new facilities and a replica of an MCG & Marvel sized ground, hasn't seemed to have helped.
