Woosha's rationale isn't crap at all. In his opinion, it is waste of a midfielder to play someone in a primarily negating role. It means that there is one less offensive player in the midfield. Instead he gets one of the midfielders to play a more run-with type of role.
It makes sense when you think about it.

As long as the team defense works and players do their bit to negate when needed. Problem is we have too many that do not have that mindset.

I can almost bet we will play Baguley on Betts. If we don't play McGrath on him I'd be tempted to play McGrath in Fantasia's role if we don't feel Begley can offer us enough speed up forward

Colyer doesn't deserve to play after that game it was as poor as I've ever seen him, apart from speed Mutch has him covered in every other area and if we are fair dinkum about challenging next year we will give this kid some games, his form in the VFL has been worthy of playing senior footy

No it doesn't why is it then when a gun player is shut down said team loses 9/10 times eg Dangerfield Sloane for us Merrett.

Because Sloane racked up 20 possessions to half time and was BOG earlier in the season. He continually planted the ball on Walker and Betts chest. Also 6 tackles in first half. You want to sit back and watch that again?

And when he gets tagged, his possessions reduce to a handful. And they will be tagging us heavily in the midfield.

Added to that, our taking the game on has been dismantled by the opposition recently and we have lost one our key runners Fantasia. And possibly Zach.

Goddard ran with Pendles and took him out of the game Anzac Day. He and Colyer have done a couple of jobs like that very quietly.
