My biggest concern is how much the past 2 finals series have affected the players. Sure, it's normal to be filthy about it and good to use the pain as a driving force however I fear that they might get too distracted by it. If Essendon get a jump on them early or get a run-on during the game the Carlton boys might crumble under the pressure they've placed on themselves.

Not sure why both sets of supporters are talking about NEXT week as only 1 of them is going across anyway.

You could win this game and be so beat up you will be cannon fodder for W/C anyway, so why even concern yourself with NEXT week.

Pretty sure Carlton will have our measure today, with a slight win in the midfield but the more damaging small forwards and a few goals from their mids being the difference.

Can't wait to get to the ground in about an hour! Days like this are the reason why most of us love footy I reckon. Packed crowd and fevered atmosphere should make it a great spectacle. Carlton fans will rightly be devastated if we lose today, but I reckon Bomber fans would hate losing just as much, even though they have less to lose.
