How is that not a barge board?
Barge boards (also known as turning vanes) haven’t been banned completely. Each car is allowed 4 vanes on each side of the car (8 in total) within a certain area (reference box). As long as Alpine do not exceed the number or placement limits then it is perfectly legal.

So Ricciardo still in Perth?
Teams run one driver in the morning session, and the other driver in the afternoon. That's why Lando is on the time sheets, but Danny isn't yet.

** Hold that thought. Danny isn't scheduled to do the afternoon session either. McLaren are one of 5 teams with the same driver backing up for both sessions. I wonder why that might be?

When someone on Reddit questioned it in relation to one of the other teams, someone said the other driver is scheduled for tomorrow so one can assume Danny will drive tomorrow.

All. Over. My. Floor.

Anyway, is anyone else hoping (for Haas' sake) that the timings are truly not representative at this stage? Because if they are even remotely accurate, Haas' time spent focusing on 2022 is failing miserably.

They had a coolant leak. Maybe they're running those rake devices

I was going to say they would have to have had some problems since they have done a few laps. You would have to think similar problems for Alfa as well.
Apparently they had a broken part as well. Not sure what but must have been decent considering they did just 9 laps. Testing is not as vital as it used to be but still, you need laps as more a stress test.

Hass:

"In the morning, we had a leak in the tank. That's when the fuel pressure went up and down. Later, a cooling line broke. It's little things that add up," team boss Guenther Steiner frets. "So far, we've only been able to collect data. We need to get up and running so we can take care of the vehicle balance."

And it goes from bad to worse:

All the time spent for dick all return. Ouch. At least it wasn't Mazepin who damaged the floor.
