Both the teams were in his ear from the time Latifi crashed until the end of the race.
Sure were. And glad they have stopped it. Was always ridiculous a team boss can contact someone running the race mid race. Make notes and take it up with them after the race.

Ridiculous. There is absolutely no reason to talk them during the race. None.

I think this is why they are having 2 guys as Race Director instead of one. One can liaise with the teams and the other can concentrate on the other stuff.

They did say something about someone talking to him from redbull than he decided to start the race.

Hence why I mentioned Wheatley - he’s the rbr team manager (or whatever position it is that is actually allowed to talk to the race director), not Horner. I don’t think I saw one article talking about what Toto did

I haven't been following it all. It's the off season liveries to be excited about. But yeah I haven't seen much about him. Both teams were horrible.

Unpopular opinion it seems based off social media - the new merc is the worst looking car of all teams so far IMO
I like that it's silver again at least.

In-race communication between the teams and race director should be one-way - from race control to the teams. Relaying decisions down a one way street should not be a full-time job, hence no requirement for a 2nd race director.

You can say that about every driver on the grid. Both perez and verstappen went off track to overtake Hamilton. (I'm really sick of defending some one i don't like as well).

And was told to give the position back and complied. After Hamilton had exceeded track limits at the same spot 29 times, which at a conservative estimate of 0.1s time gain equals 2.9s of on track advantage before he was told to pull his head in (which only happened because Red Bull told Max to start doing it).

The classic of that race was that Hamilton had been doing it all race ... knew he'd been doing it all race, and as soon as Max overtook him at that spot, he was on the radio bleating "wah wah ... he overtook me off the track ... wah wah".
