Curiouser and curiouser..

In a dramatic development to the saga surrounding Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, it has emerged that Helmut Marko may face disciplinary action as the result of a fresh investigation that has been launched against him.

Motorsport.com has learned that Marko is subject to an investigation by Red Bull relating to various media leaks that have taken place since it emerged that Horner was being looked at by Red Bull's energy drinks company.

Sky F1 already being insufferable now even more so with yet another British driver. Ffs crofty was absolutely losing it over Oliver. I bet if Doohan came in as a sub for Alpine it would barely get a mention but if Mick was there he’d get more airtime.
DR not off to a great start this season, hoping for improvement or Danny Ric might be shown the door.

Glorious.

And the Verstappen mouthpiece has come out now and reported that Max has made it clear, if Marko goes he goes

Hopefully its just a translation issue, but "I can't go on without Helmut Marko" is a very dramatic thing to say 😂

Makes it sound like Max would retire if Helmut died (which wouldn't be that unexpected given his age)

As good as Max is you'd let him walk at the moment if any of that was true. Can't have a driver and his domestic abuser dad trying to dictate what you do, especially when there's multiple drivers on grid that would win easily with that car.

Found another interview with Max, when asked at the end "So you need him (Helmut) to stay for you to stay?" and his reply is "I've always said that to the team, they know that"

Also found it telling that when he is talking about the key people in regards to the team being built and doesn't mention Horner once....

Another where is even more blunt about it:

Gotta give Max credit that at least he isn't mincing words and you know where his loyalties lie (whether you agree with them or not)

Early doors still but Dan had an opportunity to stamp his authority at RB after Tsunoda's meltdown and he wasn't within cooee of him.
I didn't hold much hope for him usurping Checo but he might get cast off like De Vries mid year if he doesn't show any pace.

To be fair, being 18 and driving for Ferrari is going to be a much bigger story than any reserve driver having a shot at driving for Alpine. No matter age or nationality.
We have a 7 time WC going to Ferrari to finish his career, such is the dream of every driver to sit in the red car. An 18 year old in that car is a huge story.

Yuki has calmed down and decided his best course of action is to let his driving do the talking.
Angry Yuki might just be the Yuki we need to see.

I get Jos is not the most likeable dude getting around but the general sentiment seems a lot more in favour of Horner than it does to the Verstappens & Marko. IMO if Max is considering walking away from a team he just won three championships with then there's obviously something there. I seriously doubt he's the sort of character that would buckle his own hopes and dreams because somebody was mean to his dad.
