I'm unsure if they've even bothered to come up with a rule for this yet, the AFLW competition is still so new. But... everything in AFLW seems to be pro rata'd (for example its points contribution to the McLelland Trophy) so you would hope they'd take an approach that sees the games required as being roughly equivalent - something like 5 full seasons, or thereabouts.

That said, one of the things I hope the AFLW can achieve is to break with some of the annoying traditions of the mens game. Holding the grand final at the MCG is one thing they've no need for in AFLW, and I'd be happy for them to get rid of parent child draft concessions altogether at some point too.
Pretty sure the top rated team hosts the GF.

Also, I remember reading earlier this year that they came up with new f/s m/d rules for the AFLW and yes, it was less games than for the AFL obviously. Of course, I drink a lot so I might have imagined it.

Where do you think they will be drafted ?? Reading the port board they seem to think rookies . But you can only have 2 cat b rookies I thought , and don’t they already have one (ruckman) ?

Never seen him play so can't comment.

Maybe not the right thread but Port have Burgoyne this year and then Montgomery and Francou next year as eligible father sons. Any of them likely to be a first round pick?
Rome Burgoyne, Ky Burgoyne, Oliver Francou and Louie Montgomery are this year.
Ben Francou and Gill Wakelin are next year
