Pretty sure the top rated team hosts the GF.I'm unsure if they've even bothered to come up with a rule for this yet, the AFLW competition is still so new. But... everything in AFLW seems to be pro rata'd (for example its points contribution to the McLelland Trophy) so you would hope they'd take an approach that sees the games required as being roughly equivalent - something like 5 full seasons, or thereabouts.
That said, one of the things I hope the AFLW can achieve is to break with some of the annoying traditions of the mens game. Holding the grand final at the MCG is one thing they've no need for in AFLW, and I'd be happy for them to get rid of parent child draft concessions altogether at some point too.
Aren’t they all eligible this year?Maybe not the right thread but Port have Burgoyne this year and then Montgomery and Francou next year as eligible father sons. Any of them likely to be a first round pick?

Where do you think they will be drafted ?? Reading the port board they seem to think rookies . But you can only have 2 cat b rookies I thought , and don’t they already have one (ruckman) ?They all are indeed.
FWIW, Gillon Wakelin is for next year.

And do parent's games get added together?Interesting with Chelsea Randall and Marijane Rajcic's boy..
How many games do the women have to play to qualify
Erin Phillips had 46 games for the crows. Shame is there isn't some grand(father) provision in there when it comes.
2017 yes 2017 the AFL were ''investigating '' itWould love to know if they'll ever be a Mother/Son rule would love Tomi Randall-Rajcic running around in the Tri colours one day

Fixed that for youAll I know is it will happen when the first victorian team aligned players start being rated in their juniors as a prospect. AFL will make it happen.
Will it happen if the first one would go to the Crows or only if it's a top 5 talent going to a Vic club? All I know is it will happen when the first players start being rated in their juniors as a prospect. AFL will make it happen.

No idea about Wakelin and B. Francou, but all of the ones eligible this year will be rookies at best. That's a big number. Any you see as first round picks?
At this stage Wakelin might be the same and Ben might not even get to the AFL listNo idea about Wakelin and B. Francou, but all of the ones eligible this year will be rookies at best.
