Fevola to Brisbane MERGED THREADS

Trendsetters,

We can talk about all the other deals we want

But the deal is done

Bradshaw & Risc will be in Blue colours next year, Fev a Bear

Brown & Fev on the one forward line = scary.

Waite on Brown & Jamo on Fev = more scary

In fact Fev & Brown on whoever is scary

Thats what ive said in my last 3 posts!:thumbsu:

I have to say, under the cirumstances, this trade was about as good as we were going to get, Bradshaw can fill the void for a couple of years at FF, with the Irish man at CHF (Cloke will be delisted hopefully to free up another spot on the list) and Rischitelli is a very good and quality young player, one of the best at Brisbane.

I am gutted and upset Fev is leaving, but I'm sure as shit glad we got a much better deal then anything Sydney or Collingwood would have thrown at us ..

And we get extra cap space next year as well to go after Roughead ...
I feel the club has made the best out of a horrible situation, and well done to Icke and Swann.
And Fev, thanks for the memories, and all the best up there in Brisbane ..
A change of state will hopefully do him the world of good.

CP, very nice post :thumbsu:

The sweetest part of this trade will be all the bitterness and paranoia and 'rage' from Magpie fans, thinking we just didn't trade with them to go and screw them over ...

Well that goes without saying.

More collingwood bitterness has really lifted my spirits ... :)

BTW Apparently Jake Niall went first with the story on the AGE, not the HUN

Some of the opinions I've read on Rischitelli are rubbish. He's a first 22 player at Brisbane, not a fringe player. He's also a defensive mid-fielder, which we've been crying out for.

If you haven't got an informed comment, don't bother.

Agree, also he was 6th in their B@F in 2008 and is an excellent tackler and pressure applier who has a smart footy brain and long kick.

Brisbane top 4 get on it before eveyone else at the TAB.

Fevola and Brown are the dominant fowards so far in the 21st century (and Reiwoldt). Imagine Carey and Ablett in the same side 22 weeks of the year in the 90's, well done to Voss for having the balls to take a punt on Fev and set up a really strong Lions side in 2010.

This is better than pick 14 and Grundy for an exit strategy from Iraq.

Carlton has told the rest of the playing group they need to do the right thing or look elsewhere.

That's the payoff.

Bradshaw and Rischitelli are just the steak knives.

Couldn't be happier.

Brisbane are just topping up like Carlton under Pagan.

And chasing an imaginary flag.

They've lost two best 22 players and Dalziell.

And replaced them with Raines, Staker and Buchanan.

Couldn't be happier.

If this deal goes through....we have no chance of beating the Lions next year lol :p
No way we can stop both Brown and Fev with our current backline..

The cloud of 'what if' with Fev will hang over Malthouse and Buckley for years.

They had a chance, and they stuffed it up.

Gives me some satisfaction i suppose.

Brendan Fevola, the best forward in the comp, for the following-

A 31 year old HAS BEEN WITH A DODGY FU**ING body,

and a so so tryer, he is not bad but most definately aint good.

Surely this has to be one of the worst deals of all time, ever.

What a foolish move.

Re: Bradshaw still on the radar?

I hope we can do better than a handful of beans - one a has-bean at that. If the administration follows through on that trade I'll be going long on pitchfork and torch stocks.

Terrible trade. Shockingly bad. An injury prone 32 year old forward, and an average midfielder. I'd prefer the Club take a stand and say "No Trade', and keep the spots on the list for draftees and rookie picks. :)

Ha Ha a forward line of a old man and a player who doesn't know how to play well. It's getting really old people taking the piss of me seeing us at the near bottom in the last 10 years.

Collingwood are all upset and bitter now because this denies them a chance to get Fev!!

Suck it up Filth we were NEVER going to deal with you Ferals.

What would you rather Pick 14 and another Sam Cranage???

You are Unlisted anyway so why do you care ????

For once i agree with you parrot.

I cant believe we would be dumb enough to sell the best forward in the comp for such a shit old man and an average at best player.

This kind of makes me want to burn my memberships and forget i was ever a blue, but seriously what a joke.

Fu*k you everyone who says good riddance or whatever, but you can all suck me.

Cmon guys cheer up. Fev going will have a POSITIVE influence on your side. He was very selfish at times and your club culture is better for him going. While Bradshaw is 31 he still can give 2 more years of pretty high level service. He's only about 2/3 years older than Fev- Bradshaw can also swing back to the backline. He is more than handy as a backman. He would be in the top 10 KPP forwards in the league as well. You also get Rischitelli who's in his prime, still young and tough as nails. He's a very solid player who will add some grunt/toughness to the Carlton midfield. To me its a pretty fair trade and you'll be better off without Fev.

i agree. it'l be interesting to see how fev copes with having to share the forward responsibilities...

Feel free to go.

People need to realise Fev was never going to stay and the club has made the most of bad situation and must be supported. Life goes on FFS.

Anyone think Judd and Rischitelli will be sitting down to watch any Steven Segal movies anytime soon ??? :D

I think we should get onboard and embrace our new recruits, Kruezer clearly isn't yet ready for a full time role in the foward line, his body isn't physically mature yet, and seriously Rischitelli can play footy a lot, and will add to our very strong midfield depth.

I am normally a somewhat negative and gloomy sort of fan, but I'm rather optimistic about this trade, and Fev and his family get a fresh start in an new city and environment ..

Win Win for both parties in my humble opinion.
