Congratulations to Hawthorn for winning the 2013 Premiership. The first 15 or so minutes of the final quarter they completely outplayed Fremantle, that was where they won the flag. Fremantle will be disappointed in themselves as well, a terrible first half in which neither side dominated allowed the Hawks to much of a head start which was always going to take time to claw back. Fremantle played better in the third quarter, and moved it well, I thought they had a chance. But they could not carry it over heading into the final term, where the Hawks got on top and dictated the game. Will need to improve their kicking and shots at goal in the big stage if they want to go that extra step next season. Looks like Brian Lake finally got the Premiership Cup he was after, he had a big final quarter, shows he was a good pick up.

That's the sort of performance that gives the players nightmares, you don't mind being beat by the better side but when you play the way Freo did you'll always wonder if you played your best could you have won.. The answer is probably yes.

Just like I've said to a house (mine) full of dockers fans - DELIGHTED for Lake getting a premiership. He got his flag, we have a 200+ game midfielder. Win = win. Composure cost the Dockers this one
