Tough calls had to be made and i would say not many of us had JFN on the radar for omission. I daresay his lack of versatility cost him, with WHE able to play all over the ground, Lippa forward/mid and Markov with slightly superior form getting the nod ahead of him.

Ginny, great selection as the sub. He will light it up when given the opportunity.

Feel sorry for Nobes. He was definitely not on my radar to be dropped. I imagined he was always one of the first named on the white board each selection meeting..

I don't necessarily agree, but I did hear a stat this week about noble rarely getting contested possessions, which is all that's on offer in finals. Perhaps that's the rationale?

hopefully means Fristch and Pickett will get less zone defence and more closer 1v1 attention

stop those two and the scoring power of the Dees to kick a winning score is diminished

I think he can’t be trusted to defend 1v1…his form has been a little bit and miss for some time.

To be honest I don’t mind that, as IMO we have been carrying an extra defender too many for some time and this allows perhaps someone like Ginnivan to stay in the team too.

In round 13 against the Dees, Nobes had 20 disposals at 75% efficiency. He did also turn it over on 6 occasions.
So his game was probably a 6/10 on Kings Birthday...
