The AFL team and Melbourne suburb is Hawthorn and the Brisbane suburb is Hawthorne.

It's driving my proof reading brain nuts people of Brisban.

The nice thing I remember about Hawthorne is the really cheap cinema which even had pretty reasonable food prices.

Did have a bit during The Phantom Menace where everyone's feet were on of their heads.

I often hear that " traditionalists" wont like this or that such as bounce of the ball or moving GF to a twilight.

My question then - who are the traditionalists - are they a defined group or are they known or are they speaking general which may mean a certain demographic of supporters?

My answer is who really cares if you upset these people - i mean i am upset at how inconsistent umpiring is or HTB interpretaton or umps saying a tackle is dangerous when its not or the new interpretation of deliberate OOB and does anyone care - of course not, so who cares about the bounce or when the GF is.

Again, coaches and non-thinkers have their way with the rule book. And people who argue for the bounce merely because of "tradition" are just as bad.

I love that image (below) in the article of the umpire and where that ball is situated.
Fantastic shot by the photographer. They should have cropped that annoying top light out though.
Okay i could not resist all fixed.

This illustrates how hard it would be to get that oval shaped ball to eventually bounce 10 meters into the air hopefully in a straight line.
Not to mention the strain on the hamstrings, back & shoulders being the main injuries umpires need attending too.
And this is only a practice bounce.

Not sure where to post this b/c IDK if there is a private section on these board so I'm reluctant to share full details. The info came from a cousin that played for the club many years ago and is still connected to the club through others or at least knows people at the club with inside knowldege. I heard some very interesting details tonight at a family function talking to my cousin.

It is obvious there are many on here though that are very connected to the club including mighty lions who i dont think has posted for a while. I also looked on FB for the news as apparantly it isnt really a secret, yet i cant find anything publically which surprises me, hence my reluctance to divulge.

Anyway, it appears that this thing has caused a massive division in the club and one that Fages and management are struggling with and probably explains the lack of unity and why as i said a few days ago, prior to knowing, that players dont respect one another or why there isnt the intensity or determination for players to back each other at any costs that we are seeing with the likes of Pies, Saints, Blues and a few others.

I know this is a massive tease, but i'm guarded against just throwing it out there b/c im sure others on here know but have been more restrained in even posting something, which perhaps should just stay silent until it comes out, which im sure it will.

You have a group of 50 odd (mostly young) wealthy individuals with time on their hands most weeks... I highly doubt a single year goes by without some drama bubbling away during the season and off-season between some players.

I think we take the above bits with a massive grain of salt.

Well we've all been speculating on the teams underwhelming start to the season and I think McIvor is just pointing out that there maybe other factors at play. Always irks me to see people being silenced with legal threats.
