other than the forthright answers about his philosophy and so on, I enjoyed his answer to why he coaches on the bench.

I have no experience on the coaching side of sport, but it's always made sense to me for the leader (I think for us thats still Fages) has to be in amongst it and be a part of the experience. As we further develop and he slightly mentioned it he may go back to the box (doubt it really) and I guess then the 'leader' will be an onfield player and the players will be matured enough to work it through with them. Or not. I'd be thrilled for him to go through his whole career on the bench. Also shows his trust and faith in those up in the box; a quality machine with all parts doing their job nicely

As a one off short break I don't think it will matter much. I remember last year during 'FOOTY FRENZY' the first short week was business as usual, but teams that had back to back short breaks playing teams with a much longer break struggled. I think our Richmond game was one of those wasn't it?

I read that yesterday.....have to say that while he could've held back a bit, I don't think the lady he was dealing with was a shining light either. Seems to me that he was trying to figure out pricing etc for kids/adults to tell the people he wanted to invite.

She just wanted her 5mins of fame i think...ran off to 3AW apparently to complain there....as you do these days. imo its a 50/50 situation. Not a good advertisement for her business and puts Dayne in a bad light too.
