Same!

The minute the game finished, they turned away and headed to the table for dinner. No emotion...nothing. it's like a weekly routine that they watch and then switch the minute the siren goes.

Then nothing was said at dinner about the game or roos. They all moved on for another week of respite...rinse and repeat...
Mine dont watch when we are on TV as they "dont have to", they see going to the footy as something we make them do. Last year one of them cried when we got our membership. "I dont want to go anymore, its boring and we dont even kick goals" .

They arent going to switch teams but North might just get them to hate footy passionately...

So 1st quarter, we dominated the clearances, Philips got two positive impacts, one a quick kick out of D50 which was made by an incredible pickup and give by Jr. 2nd he cut off a poor handball which was solid. Had one good body positioning effort, but zero impact after that.

2nd quarter, beaten twice by Eagles clearances early, not seen after that and had zero impact on our clearances but Tucker had a couple of great impacts.

Will do 2nd half after cooking dinner, looking good at the moment though ...

3rd quarter, ball tapped down his throat but instantly tackled, zero impact otherwise on our clearances. Can't wait for the 4th quarter!

I asked a few weeks ago whether anyone involved at the club comes on here to read our posts.

After today...all I can say, is I bloody well hope so!! 🖕

I think it's hard to judge our actual football ability at the moment.

The players and club and supporters are all completely demoralised. Need an injection of hope more than anything.

Tbh I was never onboard with the bottom out because I feared this would happen. Oh well.
Your premise assumes that we weren't heading there anyway - we were, undoubtedly. Cutting a handful of players not good enough to get a game in the worst team we've fielded in 70 years doesn't change that.

LDU, Sheezel, get a plane seat. Rest of them can walk.

Wonder if there's any feeling of ******* guilt about what these pricks have put us through. Any ******* guilt at all. ******* shitstains. I'm lurching between numbness and fury rn but cannot fathom how they couldn't feel shame right up to their eyeballs. Clarko needs to throw some more ******* chairs by the looks of it. Frauds doesn't even begin to cover it

Our luck, that plane would crash

Sheezels move to the forward line should have happened about an hour earlier
He is the only thing holding that defence together. Combined, the back six has a little more creativity than one good football player and Sheezel is delivering 95% of the quota.

Granted, I like some things from Arch who doesn’t ever seem to give up, McDonald, Corr, McKay (we will be absolutely f*caked when he leaves btw) et al are just comically bad.

My boys 7 and 10 both cried.
And then proceeded to threaten the health of any kids at school who may say something.

Some would say extreme.

Im just happy to see someone put up a fight at this point.
Mine are a bit further along in the stages of grief, unfortunately.
I hope we get a win for your boys soon.

To be honest, modern footy stadiums can be boring for any kids. A lot of kids and teenagers struggle to sit in a chair and fix their attention on the game for over two hours.

I take my kids to the VFL and they love it. Arden Street has free entry so you can invite some of their friends along for the day out. The kids have a lot more fun because it is less crowded, they can go on the field at quarter time and see the players close up. Plus at Arden Street there are lots of trees and open spaces, the kids can mess around with their friends while the game is on.

When the senior players wake up in the morning and put on their North Melbourne clothes, they’re conditioned and expecting to lose. As we’ve seen in the past, they’ll find amazing ways to achieve this.

Cull the senior players. Bring in cultural change.
We need a Stalinist-Russia style purge of our list and team “leadership”.

Jy, McDonald and Goldie (who did ok today) just have to go. Any connection to the laisezz-faire Scott’s culture needs to be pulled out and root and stem.

Let Sheez, LDU and Bailey lead the way. We are not going to be losing anything more than what we are now.

Wasn't impressed with Viney's answer to the very good question about what will be/has been done to improve our fitness. He acted as though it was a non-issue - said we spent 5% extra on game plan so 5% less on fitness

Vodd, how about just concentrate on getting the players 20% fitter instead of running a school holiday program for adults over preseason. That way we might be able to compete against WAFL standard sides.

And also do the extra work on the game plan with the players. You can do both.
