So his hands are stuffed, shoulders are stuffed, knee is stuffed, can't tackle without giving cheap frees or getting suspended and he can't buy a free for love nor money?

And he's worth 2-3 times what we're playing Roughy?

Wonder how much the club flicked Dr Larkins to say that?

I've posted this general thought a few times, but I find Larkins is always off the money, especially with his diagnose from a distance or on the fly.

Severe shoulder injuries become blood noses; PCLs turn out to be too-tight-shoelaces. You get the idea.

Might not be the case here, but I generally regard the Doc as a reverse Casandra.

I agree but in this case it seems consistent with what the club is telling us, just a more detailed explanation, rather than a diagnosis on the fly like he does during matches.

Absolutely he is!

there's nothing wrong with free agency and its poor or no compensation if it is properly implemented...if all clubs have the same salary cap level and all clubs have free agents there is nothing wrong with it....what we have here is 3 clubs with higher salary caps to everyone else and 2 of those 3 clubs have no free agents for another 7 years........THIS IS THE ISSUE AND IT IS A FRAUDULENT FARCE

Under the above cheating scenario, if any club loses a player under free agency to any of those 3 clubs and particularly the 2 with no free agents, than the compensation must be fair and proportionate to what that club has lost in order for this competition to have any integrity

I still think the AFL will come to the party with the compo.
They want Buddy at GWS, but they don't want GWS to have to trade much for him. They know there is a risk we will match the offer.
So I think the AFL will pull the strings and orchestrate a deal. Buddy goes as a FA, we don't match the offer. The AFL gives us a "mini-draft" type pick, with access to a 17-year-old from next years draft. GWS then trade for the pick, we might get picks 10 and 19, or a couple of young players like Adams and Jaksch.
End result - GWS get Buddy PLUS a minidraft pick, we get better compo than pick 20. GWS still win big, but we will be better off than we would be with pick 20.

On the contrary, I found it very informative about the condition and goes some way to explaining why it's a week to week proposition.

But he is not our club Doc?
What will he know from the boundary line?

By informative I meant about the condition in general. Being a doctor I think he is qualified to comment on the condition.
I agree. I think a med degree would enable him to fill in the gaps, even from the boundary line: the club said in late jan/ early feb that Buddy had a cyst behind the knee from previous injury (2011 finals) and that it wasn't a big deal and that He'd overcome this problem previously. Medical knowledge allows for explanation as to what it means in terms of recovery and long- term prognosis.
As an aside, I was wondering whether this problem could have had some adverse impact on Buddy's recovery from hamstring last year, or totally unconnected?

I was going to edit my 'He' typo but thought I'd leave it like that in honour of Bud's super effort in getting up to play against the Swans ;)

I will literally cry if he does that ...

Would not put it past the Big Man ...

He has another chapter or two in the history books for the Hawks ...

I'll cry if we win the flag regardless. No shame there. Not much better moments in life in my view.
