I will never forget what that SHADY said about our club, accusing our players sniffing drugs, in the middle of the ground FGS..He is a disgusting person, and anyone that is old enough to remember, you will never forget what he said/did that day. He is a media seeking prick that just can't live without his dial in the papers,tv,radio etc.I detest him with a deep hatred, I change channels,my pc news, papers,tv etc, that shows what I think of him, I can't tolerate him..I just wish he would disappear into one of those sinkholes, never to be seen or heard again..:D

Sheeds loves to be in the spotlight, and what better way than to mention Buddy's name. He was never interested in trying to get Tippett and he knows he's not going to get Franklin. I'd take every word that comes out of his mouth with a grain of salt.

Yep loves a headline does Sheeds. Why do you think the AFL gave him this job. He is s shit stirrer of the highest order. He is very calculated though and I have a feeling they are eyeing off a big fish that is not Buddy. Just something small he almost said in an interview.... WHo knows though, I could have completely made something up in my mind when I heard it.

Didn't Goddard buy a house in Perth as well late last year?

Great investment advice - rental returns are through the roof - not cola roof, but a good return none the less. ;)
Every player should be buying a house in Perth - would make for an interesting headline

Buddy 'aint going anywhere.
I hope your right. But have no doubts the media and the interviewers can absolutely ruin a season.
Players team mates can start to wonder as well.
I know they are pros', but distablising is a bad thing
at this level. Apponants take it onto the ground and play mind games with it. It can cause that tiny little incident that loses games. In any part of life and business, you never leave people you are important to, or who may be important to you, hung out to dry. Hawthorn isn't like that. Sign by Monday.

Just another buddy day in paradise isn't it - the speculation will continue and us hawk supporters are just going to have to wear it or stop reading and listening to the media altogether. Today we had 1/2 dozen different stories about buddy and very little about the so called Kennet's curse - that's a good thing - right
Not at this club , you either are or you aren't.

After reading the Age article written by Caro the Whinger, she must have scraped the bottom of the barrel to find that snippet about Buddy at the GP..Anyway, what Buddy wants,is what he gets..I don't think he will take advise from anyone, and one day he will go one step too far with his behaviour, the AFL and our club expects him/them to do the right thing whilst they are playing for our family club..He is heading down the wrong path with some of his "mates"..only time will tell:rolleyes: The AFL will only take so much with players behaviour..

Bud went to the GP
He would have been a guest at some corporate event
I bet he didn't have to open his wallet all day, as people would have been waiting on him hand and foot
He would have been asked to go here and there for photos etc
So he was tipsy, big deal
Did he streak?
Did he interrupt the race like serial pest Peter Hore?
Did he get into a brawl?
Did he grope someone?
I bet there were thousands of people more tipsy than Bud, just not as famous, or not a good "story" for a journalist!

Franklin Leaving or Not

Hawthorn is generally a club that is very well planed and organised. So, I think we have also planned for Franklin's likely (not definite) departure.

1- We allow a press conference to go that shows the Club is doing all it can to keep him and if he leaves it will be Franklin's fault and not the Clubs. He wants the money and in Franklin's case the money is extraordinary. For me that is fine. Clubs don't give loyalty and so the players should be able to exercise the same. Ablett still loves Geelong but now he can have the money as well. He will be welcomed back to Kardinia Park when he retires and they hold their Premiership reunions. Franklin will be welcomed back as well.

2- Is it just a coincidence that our KPP stocks have/will have 4 names added to it. O'Brien, Brand, Heatherley and Tatupu.

3- The Hawks will use the Restricted Free Agenecy of Franklin to extract the best trade deal. I am confident we will match the offer but with every intention of trading him to the Club that wants him. We will say something like "you cannot hold a player when his heart isn't in it". Once again placing the blame on the player and not the Club. Selling the message. It is only via a normal trade can we hope to get something close to his actual value. GWS will have Pick 1 or 2 and also some youngsters who would prefer to be in Melbourne and Hawthorn is an appealing 'destination; club.

4- Do not listen to any team that says they are not interested. Fremantle are - but GWS really is. The AFL do want the GWS to be a high profile club in western Sydney as it links to televison rights which is the great cash source. At this stage profile matters more than success. Folau was for profile (with little chance of success), Franklin is profile plus a little bit of success. The AFL will assist GWS as it assists the AFL. As for Hawthorn the AFL doesn't care about us or other existing clubs as much as it does about the new ones. Our impact on AFL revenue is insgnificant when compared to the what GWS and the Gold Coast can provide.

It took a while for the 'bought a house in freo" thing to come up

Yes, that was always on the cards. Next thing he'll be rumoured to have a new speed boat moored at some stinkin' marina in the West.

While you're at it, kindly explain these conspiracy theories:

1. John F Kennedy was assassinated by the Mafia;
2. The CIA carried out the September 11 attacks;
3. George W Bush is an alien.

http://media.theage.com.au/sport/af...-bidding-for-buddy-why-would-you-4146635.html

Wow... I mean just wow... I think someone needs to explain to Caro that this competition is about winning games of football. Everything else that she gets worked up about is just noise... So the answer to her question would be that all clubs would take Buddy because he wins games...

He is going to make this report look so ridiculous....

Just saw the Caros' Call from The Age "Bidding for Buddy..why would you?". Just the same ol' negativity crap so often repeated by this horrible person.

She mentions how Hawthorn has had to endure Buddy's behaviour over the past few years......now that really pisses me off. OK then Caro....why don't you come out with it now and let us all know exactly what you know and stop beating around the bush, if there really is a story. Perhaps there is, but please enlighten us all. It's time to put your credibilty on the line. If no story, then go away.

And that goes for Martin and Swan, which you happen to bring up again.

That said, on the Buddy front, keep up with negativity. If that's what it takes to scare the opposition away then good. I'll be more than happy to keep him.

Don't bother getting worked up about it. She is fighting the dirty fight with emotional claptrap to try and stay relevant. She wants a response. That is how these media people try and stay relevant. Facts aren't important. Your response is.

Emotional opinion pieces from overpaid media people is the norm nowadays. Just ignore it.

While I think most of her stuff is irrelevant and a bore, in this case, it works quite well for us.

Quite clearly she is right when she says that Buddy is holding the club to ransom. In the past, she has said that he is being greedy and selfish. Again, she is right. Buddy has brought this on himself and his brand has been irreparably damaged. For starters, regardless what happens, he will never captain our club.

Hawthorn made Buddy into the player he is. Look at how Guerra was let go from Port Adelaide and St Kilda, and yet Hawthorn have turned him into a 250-game player. Amazing. I cannot think that Richmond or any other fringe club would have been able to get Buddy to prosper in the way he has.
