Seems like he injured it on Tuesday if he had 100% strength on the Monday, but keep the pitchforks out
I mean, if you believe everything Bell puts out, sure, I dont.

And I'm no physio but I would have to hazard a guess the new tear has a lot to do with the other one and an increased load placed on other fibres of the muscle

It doesn't matter if he reaggravated the existing injury, or somehow did a new injury (which sounds highly dubious to me or would be related to existing strain). It is still the fault of S&C. All soft tissue injuries (both game and training) are their responsibility. And that's from talking to someone who worked as a physio for WC.

Not if he tested fine on Monday

The club uses this machine and others with baseline reporting to see risk of injury and other metrics

Edit: if they aren’t straight up lying (which is a possibility) its more likely a compensatory injury from the cork on the other leg

Cool. If you believe that. I am literally amazed that Fyfe was training at all given how he looked at the end of the Saints game. Seriously.

I've got close to zero trust in the club with this kind of stuff. There's numerous times where they just don't tell the (whole) truth.

Young has already had the surgery and we are hearing now. They are clearly 'managing' the information they are telling us and pretty much doing a shit job at it.

that news has sucked the life out of me as far as the Derby goes and a bit of the rest of the season too.
Logue and Young were the 2 biggest things to be excited about so far this year.
It never seems to end for us.

I'm sure all the footy media won't mention a word about our team's availability compared to WC. It will be a great win by them against a rampant Freo no doubt. If our boys get up then Longmuir is definitely the Messiah.

They are going to need to roll out some more shiny toys to keep everyone engaged.

I know Young and Griff are most likely no fault of the club but the optics on this are terrible and the general fan base don't look much past the surface.

Then again, if Henry and Valente don't play they are less likely to get injured.

I agree it’s possible they could be straight up lying and disappointing if so, as for Young he was always indicated for surgery when they announced they sent him to a specialist, hospitals are so empty with elective surgery at the moment he probably was able to get a place next day

It still wasn't clear with Young and I think they clearly knew. They know that they are under pressure from a S&C perspective so they are spinning what they can.

No good enough.

100% they knew about Logue and Young earlier in the week.

Its not a co-incidence this news was all released at once, I honestly dont care too much about that.

I'm not swallowing the whole "he was fine Monday" crap though, that's obviously bs

So much winning

Defenders Hayden Young (ankle) and Griffin Logue (toe) are not expected to return until at least the end of the season but general manager of football Peter Bell was hopeful that ruckman Sean Darcy would play against West Coast.
Even Bell saying Fyfe is expected to miss a few weeks, how soon before that turns into 6 or 7.

It's such a shame because we are getting bulk home games but lets just cotton wool anyone with a remotely serious injury and expose the list. We might be able to limp to finals with our remaining list (without more injuries) and only home games but we aren't doing damage.

Give anybody showing anything in the 2s 4-5 games and load up for 2021.

How soon before they release the news on Lobb's ankle injury and that he is also out of the derby???? The injury has already been reported or speculated on by others and yet we have heard nothing from the club yet that it is even an issue.

The only time we will EVER get any decent fixturing at home and we don't have a ****ing squad

C U R S E D

And the slime get a free hit

Its ******* surreal our history with KPD's.

What is it about them, almost everyone of them has serious injury issues.

Even Hamling who was good for so long succumbs to a potentially career threatening ankle break.

While I'm a bit younger, Dawson and Grover are the only ones I can remember who you could rely on to actually get on the park consistently

Shane Parker was so durable, McPharlin and Johnson were very reliable until they hit their 30s. Duffield and Hayden as well.

Pav barely missed a game prior to 2012 also.

Fair enough, it was clear to me but the communication does lack

Logue was going to always be a while if it didn’t clear up in a few days, turf toe is a bitch
