Ultimately we just don’t score enough. Our attack is not a premiership winning one.
It’s a killer and will lead to situations like today on a frequent basis.
Only two freo players have kicked 40 goals in a season since 2015. That’s nearly a decade of footy!

JLo likes to grind and choke our opponents (I know that sounds intimate af). We just need to learn how to score from a heavily defensive centric gameplan. Idk if it's possible or maybe a personnel issue but something needs to change.

The fact that we dominated clearances as much as we did and were so poor i50 was infuriating. Our forward line looks like its gelling well and then a couple games later looks like shit again. The only times we've scored well this season was when Cox was forward over Tabs and when our midfield contributed a bunch of goals vs North. Going to be even worse next week without Switta and Freddy in there helping pressure.

Walters wasn’t on today.
Amiss missed that on his left- huge learning curve for him.
Brayshaw’s kicking was really strange.

Just would love the players to be selfish and have a shot when around 40-50m out. Players asking for the pass 15m away should be fined.
Frederick marked and Walters asking for it, on the right pocket. Nah, that’s not acceptable. Frederick has the range and distance.

Jackson inside 50 and looking to pass to Fyfe.
Switkowski handballing it inside 10m instead of having a shot 40m out. These little things have make a big difference.
Brayshaw going for the snap rather then straightening up and having a shot 40m out.

Midfield need to contribute goals tbh.
Cripps goes forward, Cerra kicked one. Hewitt went forward and got two important ones.

Tabs has been fine tbh. He’s not getting in the way of Amiss. He took Weitering and halved contests. Amiss should be off the chain with the second or third defender. Even round 1, he has been very quiet/not getting much of the ball.

Yeah it feels harsh considering he's probably kicked more goals than any of our other forwards these last three games, but there's clearly something not right about the mix up there. Even just replacing him with Jackson makes us a lot more dynamic once the ball hits the ground.

On form you'd drop Amiss, who's been very quiet and unable to hold a mark in his last few games.

But we had plenty of ball on our hands inside fifty and didn't finish or tried to kick it to someone in a different position and turned it over.

It’s a personnel issue in attack.
That’s why I was a fan of Sturt late last year, and it’s a shame he’s dropped off for one simple reason.
HE. KICKS. GOALS.
We have all these battlers in attack but they needs 25 chances to kick 8 or 9 goals.

Honestly the worst part about the dissent call is the umpires waiting so long.

If they called it when the whole team was having a go at them then the penalty is 50 metres, but no they wait until literally the split second after giving the all clear for a goal to call it.

Hopefully the club can get around him. He got destroyed today but this effort was there.

He might have lowered his colours on about 3 or 4 occasions max mainly due to strength differential and Curnow manhandling him out of the way but no way got destroyed. Today showed that within two years Draper will be winning most of those contests against one of the best if not best forward in the land.
