It's not out KPFs that are the problem, they are kicking most of our goals. We have nothing when the ball hits the ground, literally nothing.
You don’t really get it
1 small forward doesn’t change anything

Amiss is going to be lucky to make it through the season without a serious injury , be surprised if he didn’t bruise or crack some ribs tonight , the kid is playing on gorillas and isn’t KPF size

Push him up the ground and give him space and watch the goals rain while a proper big forward plays the contested marks role

Trade Erasmus for a good small forward, I think he is going to get sick of playing Peel anyway

Against the 'best' midfield in the comp, we won centre clearances 13 - 5. We lost that game due to our bottom end talent playing to their talent level and our emerging talent not being ready yet. We'll be right.
Doesn’t help that some of the leaders of the club are in that bracket.

I get it we led the whole game, I get we improved on last year to be competitive, but am I that out of turn to say that I'm sick of "looking promising" and getting the "unlucky to not be 5-0"

When are we finally going to just take the competition by the balls like GWS are doing and start being taken seriously as a premiership contender? This isn't a young rebuilding side anymore, enough excuses and make it happen Freo!

A good start would be the selection committee actually putting pressure on spots by dropping the coaches favorites who deserve to be dropped.

lol…you saying we’re not a young rebuilding side doesn’t make it true.

Have a look at the age spread of GWS

We are playing low scoring contested footy. We’ve seen this before, it doesn’t result in ultimate success. The AFL hate it, they are doing everything possible to have high scoring free flowing games. Bit by bit it fatigues the players. If we put the eagles to the sword by 6+ goals I’ll eat my words, but the players won’t be able to flick the switch so easily and score.
Honestly don’t have a choice.

Any team that goes down two key defenders will be getting pumped every week.

Honestly the forwards are the issue.

We beat them by 100 last time we players them and kicked the best part if not more than 100 in our first 2 games of the season.

I think is playing this manner is JL compensating for a lack of personnel in the game plan.

We block it up to protect Draper being exposed too much as a young key defender and to compensate for a lack of forward pressure that should improve with Tabs out and Freddie back.

A few occassions of Port playing the man, not the ball that got my goat. Elbow into Jyes Kjdney, I'm glad the Port player hurt himself. Plus the hit on Banners was dangerous.

I think we needed a dedicated Ruck, we lose Jacksons x factor if he shoulders the main ruck duties.
Our game was devoid of x-factor.

I'm getting pretty f****** annoyed at people attacking our players when clearly unjustified.

Port were getting kissed on the d*** all through the last and most of the frees for Port weren't there. Meanwhile, the high hits, htb against port were ignored.

Blame the truly guilty...the AFL.
Yea is so deflating
Got farked over last week with the entire AFL put on notice over it and then , the very next week it all happens again .
port must’ve got about 5 free kicks in row in about 2 minutes
Tells you all you need to know about our place in their AFL

but that was at Optus

The umpiring cost us a shot at that game again I'm sorry. Nowhere near as bad as Carlton last week but those massively delayed calls, they locked us in to our own D50 with a completely unnecessary score review then Banners gets clobbered for nothing and Jackson gets paid a push for turning around.

We should have won these last 2 games and the club needs to not be nice about it.

In saying that 3-2 after the first 5 and rocked up to every game. We are certainly a good team again and we will be a contender with a forward half that gets both more experience and quality over time.
Only the Dockers could get a decision over ruled
It was like the umpires F you for last week

For the record I have no problem with the umpires tonight was generally bad for both sides
We lost that due to our woeful forward line

Stand up and take a bow Josh Treacy Immense
