Well Sammy boy, surely after this afternoon you've realised you don't want to leave what we're building here.

There's a spot in the FWD line just begging for you to take it, time to step up and be the player we think you can be. It's yours if you really want it

Are we worried he is gonna leave? Tbh im more worried if he is gonna make it full stop. He has missed a lot of football over these past few years, I still hope he'll come good. But I think at the end of the year if he goes itll be us doing the cutting rather then him requesting a trade.

Just haven’t seen anything for Peel to warrant selection. Today had 10 disposals and a goal. Meh

I made a comment today referencing the ‘intensity’ comment made by JL.

Watching Bayley Fritsch today made me realise that you can carry one forward who doesn’t apply a shit load of pressure, but they must have a level of intensity at & around the contest that makes them valuable.

Watching Sam Sturt today & his inability to halve some contests clearly show he lacks that intensity. It is really frustrating because he only needs to inject a small amount of aggression into his game & he can become an important member of Freos forward line.

Fritsch has had no more than 12 disposals in a single game this season, but is a dangerous & reliable member of that team. Sturt should be modelling his game on Fritsch, you don’t have to be the kamikaze defensive forward, we’ve got a heap of those, but when it’s your turn to compete, compete hard.

At WAFL level his stats are probably pretty similar to Fritsch’s AFL numbers, but it’s that want to compete when hes out of position thats holding him back. I don’t think there’s a huge change to be made, he’s just got to want to do it.

Something has just not clicked with him or with us and I can see him being labelled recruit of the year in 2023 kicking regular goals for Essendon or North or someone, really hope we can figure it out before it gets to that point because I’m still adamant that he’s exactly the kind of player we need in our forwardline, a Fritsch type as Bring back Drum mentioned.
