How's about Valente aye?
Oh yeah, got a little off topic.

Actually I do have a prediction with Valente, mostly based off the opinion of an Adelaide mate who saw a bit of him pre-draft.

It isn't supported by Valente's output during his first injury impacted season, but I think he becomes best 22 sooner rather than later. He spoke about his decision making and attitude, both of which he saw as first rate, plus he is already a big lad.

Here's hoping.

What would you expect from Cerra next year?

I quite like the way Brayshaw has been used midfield more in 4th quarters. If it's been good for B can we expect it of C?
Brayshaw will be ready for full time mid duties from round 1 next year in my view. I reckon if he played a less intense game style (less 3rd and 4th efforts) he'd be in there close to FT already*. We're not privy to the GPS data of the players other than the top performers: I'm guessing though if we could see them they would show Adams numbers are very poor and he is going to need extra tank building time.

**

Edit:
*Of course then he wouldn't the player he is and maybe wouldn't command a spot yet
**Something about Valente

I think he slid because he's a inside mid only. There is only room for 1, or 2 at an absolute max, pure inside midfielders who can't rotate forward or back in a side because of the limitations imposed by a cap on rotations. Put another way you have to be elite to survive now in the AFL in that position if it's your only one. That's why Barlow is finished.

As each club looked at who was left and they rated him more or less equal with another player with more flexibility, they went for the flexible player.

If he turns out to be good enough to hold a place he'll be a steal, if not he'll be back in the SANFL in 4 years winning Margarey medals with regular punters wondering why he's not getting another shot.
That probably explained why Freo chose Cerra at pick 5 in 2017 draft.

Cerra can play both as an outside and Inside mid.

Logue was taken at pick 8 due to the fact he played in multiple positions around the ground. Yeah he can play in the middle. We are playing him in the backline as a CHF or a tall back flanker.

We could play him forward. I still remember his only goal for freo, that beautiful set shot vs north in 2017 at subi.

I have always liked Valente from his performances in the under 18 Champs. Glad to see he is getting a good, injury free run and I read in another article today that he was described as quick in the drills, which was pleasantly surprising as a lack of speed was his biggest criticism in his draft year. Kid can play imo.

He runs with Giro doesn't he?

Still confident that Giro can be a very good player for us. I loved the way he moved before the knee op - he was so elusive with the ball in hand and knew exactly where to be to get involved in the play.
Hopefully the two mates can be long term Dockers and who knows, play in an AFL premiership together.

I've been on this guy's bandwagon all year, not because I've seen much of him, but his bio, U18s performance and being given the number 29 jumper made me think he was a perfect replacement for our big inside mids in Fyfe and Mundy.

If he doesn't get a run soon, is he safe or is he scrapping it out for a new contract with our other fringe players like North, Matera, Banfield etc?

God I hope not.

yep. Based on his U18 and having only missed out to date through injury, this guy should be definitely given a fair go to prove himself. Would be stupid to delist only to pick up a new shiny toy with less potential. Was U18 SA captain who led Luk and Rankine to win the U18 cup. Must have some pretty special qualities I would like to see on the field sooner than later.

I hope Valente’s not like a movie that gets hyped up by everyone that your expectations are so high, that when you do finally see it, you go.......
”Hmmm, not as good as I thought it was going to be!”

Sequel to Blade runner, Man of Steel, Mr Glass, the shape of water and Starwars ep 1 to 3 & ep7 to 9.

Few off the top of my head.

I'd expect him to take 4-5 games to get the speed, just like the others have all needed. So nobody will think much of him this year I suspect even if he does play.

Wash your mouth out. Blade Runner sequel was amazing.

The only people that are ever disappointed with debuts are the ones who take the hype too seriously.

The difference between a good debut and a bad one is probably just seeing the one or two exciting things they do offset the mistakes they'll inevitably make. Rick's (Freddy) first goal is permanently etched in my mind - it undid any and all mistakes he may have made on debut for me.

Do we think Henry will get another game this season? I hope so
