I'm not even that annoyed because I didn't even bother watching. I knew we would lose and have a mountain of work on my house I need to do while the sun is out.

The team is the 2nd or 3rd most inexperienced in the comp. Stuff like this will happen. My main concern is the coach, as I don't think JL is the right man.

We aren't going anywhere until Johnson, Erasmus, Chapman, NOD, Amiss, etc have played 50-80 games and can play consistent football. It's 2-3 years away.

I do find losses are about 10x easier to cop when you are forced to not watch. You get through the normal grieving that takes like 2 days in about 5 minutes.

I do miss waking up in Canada to see the result each week, was a blissful time

I think he is poor defensively, and that hurts us. Was one of his better games, from the bits I saw. For an outside mid he is not damaging enough, and poor defensively.

He needs to alter his routine from that part of the ground. I don't think he's kicked one from there all season, and it always heads to the same place. Could have had two at least.

Well that was awful. Uncompetitive in the middle and then seemed to decide to be uncompetitive everywhere else too! Like to see Kuek come in next week , if he kicks a goal and has 3 tackles he would have better stats than a lot of blokes today.

I don't even think that's the issue. It's a mental thing 100%. But more so the fact that as soon as thing don't go their way they go into their shells. I highly doubt it's to do with arrogance. There was the narrative around post-bye performance and they all bought into it. It should not even have been a consideration for them. Yet pre and post game interviews in that week every single player mentioned it.

I get that we're a young side and we're going to have weeks like this, but feel like the absence of any fight whatsoever is the hardest thing to cop.

(Faint) positives? I thought Henry was better and at least trying to contest. Ras was encouraging with minimal game time. Jackson was good but faded and was missed up forward. Serong and Brayshaw worked their way into it, with the corollary being that's the absolute bare minimum we should expect.

The way the small forwards collectively run hot and cold re pressure is an increasingly growing problem. Banners has tickets in the bank, but he's just about cooked them over the last couple of weeks, and Switta and Shooter haven't been all that much better.

I'm done with Sturt - junktime goals after the early misses aside, he's just not up to it at this level.

Feel like they need to roll changes to give everyone the requisite rocket and allow Ras, Worner, Emmett and even Sebit to show what they can do.

Did MJ get injured? Otherwise I don't understand why he'd get subbed off instead of Banfield when he had more than double the possessions at the time. Surely every minute we can get into MJ this year is worth it's weight in gold? Especially when the game was already shot either way.
