Something Bucks mentioned about us worried me a bit - he said he was shocked our boys were so quiet.
We won that game he watched but I think that can be a positive sometimes, ie resilient and stoic - but others times it leads to rudderless, leaderless trash.
I've suspected for some time Fremantle is a team of introverts, with JL and Pearce the biggest and quietest of them all.
Has little to do with skill and strategy but it might partly explain how quickly we fall back into our shells.
He was a total liability today from what I could stand to watch from my sick bed.Something banfield did. Block I assumed.
I find it funny when a team loses by 70 points and people think bringing in several debutants is going to fix that.
Zero fight.
Yep and I agreedTurnovers killed us, meaning players like Banners. We missed Aish’s composure in the backline. Forward 50 entries we s**t. No heart, no effort
There needs to be a limit though. NOD has played poorly enough for several games now, even when we were winning, that I feel like he needs a break. Banfield has also contributed close to nothing for a couple weeks, and was only really playing because we were a forward down all those weeks. He can come out.I don't disagree entirely, but at the same time the "play as many games as you need to get your confidence right" "back the boys in" approach feels equally unsustainable.

I liked him. Thought he looked quite composed. How did Erasmus look in the last qtr? Looks like he had quite a few touches, any quality there?
But suggesting someone like Kuek come in when Darcy is coming back and we'll get to return to the triple J structure is just people not putting any thought into their suggestions. It is not about bringing them in to fix anything. It is the fact that we have many ineffectual players that are offering nothing and trying other players to see if we can get more output. It is also about integrity of selection.
You mean that 2009 game vs the crows where we kicked 1.7.13?That was just...sad. Worst game I've seen in person since "that" game in 2009 we're never permitted to mention.
So predictable.C
i haven’t checked the other threads but I can’t wait to see some old friends we haven’t seen in about 6 weeks pop up around here

It's unanimous. We agree. That was embarrassing.
yeah, right........ how many times over the many years have I heard that!
Just relax.
Inconsistency is going to happen. Just enjoy the ride.
We'll be competing for top 4 next year.

Has to be the lack of effort. That should be a non negotiable. You can live with skill errors and mistakes but not to be outrun and outworked like we were today.I like you and I know I will definitely get a straight out answer from you.
What was worst bit about today's loss?
The lack of effort or fight in the dockers today or the amount of turnovers that lead to GWS goals?
Both are bad.
He looked ok. He's obviously a work in progress, but the way the season has gone, now is the time to work on that progress. Get some games into Erasmus, Worner, Kuek, Stanley and Reidy. How did Erasmus look in the last qtr? Looks like he had quite a few touches, any quality there?
