Our midfield has been our achilles heel all year. Imagine if we still had Lachie Neale.

That would be nice, sort of, but by the time we're really contending (which is next year, obviously) he'd be in the twilight of his career, Brownlow form was a few years ago now (hmm) and he'd be keeping guys like Brodie, Johnson and Erasmus out of the team. I'd rather stay optimistic about their futures than worry about Neale.

...having said that, the typical Freo perennial rebuild does wear a bit thin at times. I do feel your pain.
