More Tippett tattle-tales here
We should be all over him like a rash if he wants to do a Mitch Clark in reverse

Too many posters on here under-rating Clarke based on his last year as a key forward. Kid is a ruckman and has shown when given the No 1 rucking duties in Sandi´s absence (particularly last year for a short patch) that he is a future gun.
Mobile ruckman who can run all day, take a grab, rack up the possessions are rare as hens teeth. I would be absolutely spewing if we sold him off for a 2nd rounder like Wellingham.
Give Zac another year or two to bulk up from his current 92kg to around 100kg and he will start dominating.
I would much rather trade away Griffin. He is as good as he is ever going to get, whereas Clarke has shown signs he is a very good chance to reach Dean Cox type output.
You may be right about his potential but if the guy wants to go back to Victoria (big if, all based on rumour) we might get a better deal for him now, under contract, then in 12 months when he'll have us against the wall
Holy Moly! What a day, it was full of speculation and rumours, but it was Fremantle who officially kicked things off, lodging paper work in an attempt to secure restricted free agent Danyle Pearce. Port Adelaide have 72 hours to respond to Fremantle's offer, but it is expected that Port Adelaide will not match the offer, and allow him to walk to Fremantle.
They need quality ball use and pace.Bombers taking Goddard is odd to me -he is very classy and obviously he would of been my preferred target - however I would of thought midfield pace is what they desperately need above all?
They need quality ball use and pace.
They can probably fix pace through the draft, but they won't find many ready-to-go players with Goddard's kicking skills.
I'm sure there's a Lewis Jetta, Isaac Smith or even Ballantyne mature ager out there that could be available for the Bombers. Around the 2nd round mark anyway.Fair enough but I would doubt they are going to find a kid who is a speedster and a walk up start - especially as they are taking another tall with their 1st rounder.

Where they really suffer is rebounding from defence. Goddard's a good get for them.
Pearce's manager wouldn't go into details on the length of contract but mentioned that he is firm in his desire to play for us.
Bombers have no problem with pace, they have been too pacey in the past and not strong enough to compete against the bigger bodies until this season.
They have plenty of pace
