Mark Stevens reckons Egan is a ripper option.
To be fair, we could hire Charles Manson and Stevens would think he's a ripper option.

To be fair he is a great motivator and has experience leading a team with complete by in.To be fair, we could hire Charles Manson and Stevens would think he's a ripper option.
To be extra fair. At this point we could hire anybody and this board will think he’s a steaming shit of hopelessness. If his name recognition isn’t deemed as satisfactory. To be fair, we could hire Charles Manson and Stevens would think he's a ripper option.

Wouldn't have thought it would be to hard to release something like ' the appointment of assistant coaches is progressing well, we are hoping to have some exciting announcements within the next 2 weeks....'Most of us would just like a small inkling as to what the plan is.
We’re the members . We’re the supporters . It’s our club not theirs . We’ve invested decades in this club . What the actual eff is going on.
Brad JohnsonSource?
But would he work with Bevo?To be fair, we could hire Charles Manson and Stevens would think he's a ripper option.

Given the lack of results from the last announced review and significant holes in our coaching and support group surely there is an obligation to the members to simply provide a weekly update. What’s the viable alternative to the club’s initial messaging though?
Anything beyond an actual appointment is destined to be written of as mealy mouthed weasel words by anybody in here.
Meanwhile in the real world people are touching grass and getting on with life…

True in most circumstances but remember that they brought in the rule where there is a set date by which you need to inform staff that their contract will not be renewed. Pair that with the challenges of approaching/poaching staff during a season and it's difficult to do it any other way.You don’t sack people unless you have a viable and locked in replacement IMO.
What do you want the weekly update to say? "We continue to look for assistant coaches to bolster our football department" week on week? No organisation would name names and I feel that that's appropriate. We have four vacancies, of course we're looking - what else do you want us to actually say?Given the lack of results from the last announced review and significant holes in our coaching and support group surely there is an obligation to the members to simply provide a weekly update.
You expect member engagement and money, you better provide the feedback on critical issues to have that engagement

A review that has led directly to the subject at hand. One that instigated the process of replacing numerous line and assistant coaches. The idea that they need to put out a weekly statement that by its very nature would be an empty one is just pointless and would appease nobody at all. They’re currently working through a process that they set out a few weeks ago and are in an incredibly competitive market for a small grouping of individuals.Given the lack of results from the last announced review and significant holes in our coaching and support group surely there is an obligation to the members to simply provide a weekly update.
Your membership is discretionary. You have the right to withdrawn you contribution at any time. The idea that anybody might do do over not being keep in the loop over a series of appointments that by their ver nature need to be discreet seems a little churlish to me. The process will play out, appointments will be made and no amount of huffing and puffing from you or I is going to change that. You expect member engagement and money, you better provide the feedback on critical issues to have that engagement

See above.I think the problem is, is that we have essentially sacked 4 coaches, with no locked in replacement. When there’s no messaging, people make assumptions.

Supporters are now joining the dots and are getting concerned.
I know the club can’t give much away but the problem is, it looks stinky from afar.
I notice that the AFL article posted a couple of pages back suggests that Stefan Martin has departed the club. I know it has been rumoured, but it seems like it hasn't been confirmed by the club (unless they made a mistake in the article and confused him with Varcoe)

Not that I disagree with your comments, however there is a marked difference in for example the Pies recognition in the importance of their members in their communication than hours.A review that has led directly to the subject at hand.
