Richmond will be a finals contender next year in my opinion. There youngsters are developing well. Anywhere from 8th to 10th, Probably 9th :D. All the best next year, exciting times.

Left it all too late. Where was all that in the first half? Disappointing end to a season but promising to see never give up attitude.

Congrats to Cousins on a fantastic career!!!

Gourdis has had a bag kicked on him every week, those who want Moore/McGuane/Thursfield traded are deluded.

Damn unlucky... very thrilling game to watch! Started watching middle of Q2 and thought it would be quite boring, but glad I stuck it out!

Quite sad to see Tiges go down tho, Cuz and the fans deserved the win... (plus had a little bit of $$ on you guys :p)

Bright future for you lot!

Good effort in the end, you can't go giving 10 goal starts to any team. Has to be said Port played as well as they could for most of the match IMO, and we had two and a bit good qtrs. So the end result wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Several ump decisions in hte last 4 mins were costly. Taylors disallowed goal and Westhoff int he ruck taking it out of the air in our pocket, running 10 or so meters, gets tackled, drops the ball and ump calls play on. Some shonky decisions both way though. All credit to the boys. Under wallace we would have been done by a hundred points so it shows a real desperation in hte boys that we havent had at punt rod in a long while.

No doubt Gourdis isn't better than those three. No doubt Moore shouldn't be traded. But we have plenty of KPP to develop and trading one of McGuane and Thursfield should be strongly considered. Especially for a pick.
Give Gourdis a break though, he's only played three games.

A few things from today:
1. This game meant nothing - nothing would've changed, which is why we played Cousins - who was arguably the reason we lost.
2. That game typified our season. Our worst and our best.
3. We're going to be a very exciting team
4. Richmond players don't always make good coaches

Bring on 2011.

Gourdis has played 3 games and is still 4 years younger than those players listed who are muchhhhh much much MUCH further along in terms of development. In their first 3 games how many goals did thursfield, mcguane and moore concede? How many has Gourdis actually had kicked on him when playing on that opponent, and not a player who Goo started on, and was later picked up by a moore or a grimes?

Thursfield by memory was a gun in his first few games.

Oh yeah, kept Riewoldt to 1 goal for three quarters before doing his shoulder and needing a reco if i remember correctly???

Over a long hot summer, forget what happened in the second quarter where we were absolutely shithouse and take heart from the way we played in the second half. The way we ran and spread, the way we attacked through the corridor and the way we attacked the ball and the opposition players, that is what you should take out of the season. For that is what will take us forward over the next 12-24 months. There is a lot to like about the Tigers heading into the summer and the 2011 season.
