Very impressed with most of the team. We've shut down their forwardline pretty solidly. Rutten & Johncock aren't far off AA form (they will be hurt by our lack of wins), Sellar has done a great job on Dawes. Jaensch looks much much better in defence.

Tippo superb in attack. Basically a one man show as McKernan and Henderson have done virtually nothing. Henderson needs to be dropped, it's ridiculous how he can get away with doing so little for so long.

Loving Jaensch's game in defence. His ball use is sublime, and he never panicks. For a small bloke his spoiling is actually very, very good.

Doughty and Rutten excellent games, Johncock done some magnificent things too.

Luke Thompson has also been really good, some of his contested work is fantastic, took a good mark deep in defence, also had a nice kick out of defence when he thought through a situation. Smashing Maxwell.

Brodie Smith is our next superstar. He was everywhere in the first quarter and a half. 12 disposals, 3 marks, a goal, he is going to be a ripper. I love him, I'm so getting 33 on my back.

Gunston has done some good things, nice pass to Hendo (for Schmidt's goal) and a slick handball on the wing to Reilly, but he needs to do more. Is it just me or does he look really slow?

Dangerfield, I know you're a burst player, and you're matched up on a good opponent, but you haven't done nearly enough.

Drumm, IMO Hendo has been important in keeping Shaw quiet

Shaw is so important to Collingwood, when Shaw runs from HB he brings other players into the game and Dawes and Cloke usually get on the end of it......

bit Harsh on Hendo - IMO, maybe we should give him the Panasonic

Need to be ready for the malthouse changes and also adapt. That will be the key to wining.

Spot on. I was thinking the same thing. Whoever gets the first goal sets up the rest of their game here. It could almost be a next goal wins scenario.

-sloane has been great. he is so important to our team.
-found a great small forward in wright, love his attack on the ball.
-jaensch is looking so good down back, with his speed and movement by foot. love it.
-rutten, johncock, thompson--the usual suspects. So good.
-dangerfield is playing deep forward, essentially a forward defense move, keeping o'brien (and hence collingwoods textbook rebounding style of play) out of the game. yes it won't look good on paper stats wise, but its contributing greatly on why we are doing so well.
-tippets kicking this year has been great.
