We were 5 goals up....reality is they smashed us in 3/4s of a game. I don't think we got a backbone, I don't think we have any nerve, I think we are destined to waste talent for a few years. What I saw last year that we had excuses for is happening again, but we don't have the same excuses...
We got Lucky against hawthorn, we got caught up in the moment and turned around what was becoming ugly. we could easily be 0 and 4
Fair enough we have been hurt with collision injuries, but you don't lose to Port if your any good as a club.
I think it's not a bad choice, he goes very hard, and will be able to do just that in the last quarter.
Also probably a bit of a message to him from the coaching staff.
Symes though not an impact player, is good for a sub option. Much needed hardness for the last quater. Like it. Good to see Martin and Wright getting full games. I'm interested to see what Wright can do with more game time. Interested to see if he can jag a goal or two and what his disposal is like.
