Well I am here to bare my ass and say i was 100% wrong about Jack Leslie, I cannot believe how far he has come in the last two games. Most on here said he would take time to mature and you guys were right, Andy Lovell and Ash Prescott told me the same thing and I am amazed at how much future promise he know shows, clearly e has rising confidence and being around May is helping dramatically - look out when he completely figures out how to use his size, what a one grab mark he is too very impressive.
My other amazement was Rocket putting Lemmens up forward boy does he show some promise as a fast crumbing forward much more opportunity there than relying on him at half back I think
Jack Martin looks slow or injured but he is constantly slowing play down just isn't himself at the moment, the more I see Sexton too the more I like him just always seems to get it on the boot off one step and gets us into attack and puts the oppo under pressure
Lyons getting a lot of the ball now just needs to be a bit more dangerous with his disposal and offloads but think he is coming good
Hanley is about to break out and start owning games I think he was just about to really start breaking lines on the weekend just didn't quite back himself with run and carry just made sure he chipped it to team mates, he is not far away though

Just joking you were not wrong this entire time.

Leslie had the tools he just needed to work it what to do with them.

Schade didn't have the tools he was 4cm shorter, not as quick and not as strong.

As a back man it is nowhere near as hard to learn as a forward - basically stick with your guy and beat them and once the ball is in the air back yourself if you can mark it.

Going the next couple of weeks so hoping they are turning the corner, especially when I'm heading up to GC on a boys trip with 5 Carleton supporters

Whiting actually highlighted his emergence above all other points from the GC v WCE game

I find Foxtel and ESPN websites are generally a fair way below the HUN and the Age in their media smarts which is saying something

It's the name, just doesn't invoke the opinion of a good footballer yet. I'm guilty of it too - when I saw "The Suns have found one in Jack Leslie" I had a bit of a laugh. Did some research and he's put together a great month. Astbury was the same until this season. It'll come for Leslie if he keeps that form up. Still only 22, as well.

Yeah that's because Whiting actually follows the Queensland clubs development, these Fox spuds just watch Vic clubs and probably read the stats for the rest

I thought he came to bat for us often over a long period of time and said he had us in the 8 like Brad Johnson at the beginning of the year, was taken aback when he said we were a poor football club partway through the game on the weekend

I'm tipping he has been laughed at whenever sticking up for us over the journey and probably the wheel turned a few weeks ago

On Bounce yesterday, Danny Frawley gave May the "golden fist award" for the week as best defender for the round. I've noticed a lot more praise for Maysie this year but the cynic in me believes it's all a ploy to get him to Victoria.
