i think bannockburn have improved as well. some of their younger kids have come on more as well as mullane grant being back. but the bannockburn team running around at the moment is nowhere near as good as the bannockburn team the played in 6 grandfianls in a row from 1996 to 2001 and then winning again in 2003.
The flag race is wide open homeboy. there is little doubt bell post hill have the talent to win the flag but unfortuantely it's been shown this year that bph lack discipline as well. it only takes one peannut to do his nut in a grandfinal and it will can cost the whole team.

Well Kooley, I'm excited! Some may not remember, but its only 4 years since we played finals. We won an elimination final then, lost to Bannockburn, who went on to win it. On another note, what does the forum think about Noel Fanning? In his article in the record on Saturday, he talks about the enjoyment you get out of being involved with the 1 club your entire career, Then on the radio, spouts off about having seen a year of GDFL football, he can't work out why more young GDFL players don't go and play GFL, and used "Leigh Harding" at Lara as an example. Is Noel paid by the league to promote our clubs or recruit for Newtown? The sooner we cut the embarrasing footy show the better. The only thing it benifits is this amateur "home movie" makers pockets.

good luck to belmont, i hope they do well
the league has the cash to employ maybe 2 or 3 cadets to cover the games on a saturday. this is just another area the competion really needs to improve on. the gdfl should be pushing for a two page spread in the addy on a monday and this can only be done if they co-ordinate the coverage of games better.
does anyone give thomson a chance to go for three in a row or would have anakie ben a better proposition in the finals if they had got their act together a little earlier in the year?
