The pick 7 with Bowes was a complete rort, Gold Coast had I think 23,25 they could have traded him with, or traded 7 for 16 f1 and have had 6 or so clubs queuing up to get Bowes,16 in the door, especially with the salary cap going up.
Gold Coast were desperate to get him off their books.
Bowes had a contract and was absolutely entitled to stay at Gold Coast.
Can you not see how powerless they were in that situation? (A situation of their own making).
The very least they could do is help him get to the club of his choice, given they were asking to break his contract.

Afl should have not allowed it, also fixed the points curve earlier which would have meant gold coast wouldn't have given away pick 7.
