I’m happy if he’s only having “detailed discussions” with trainers. Rather than what he’s been having recently.
You were beaten to that gag, I’m afraid!

No Probs..just bring in Jarvis for his second game.

With Rowans history , I'm not sure he should play if not right ... who plays? Cant see it being anyone we have not seen.... but if Stanley is anyway dodgy then maybe Sav comes in. ..depends what we see as Rohans function if pressure maybe its close or atkins.

I like having the three marking options
Let’s hope it doesn’t come to this but Esava would play.

If someone is a gambler ... Sav is probably the player most likely to produce a Hawkins type 2011 GF. ..He could give you a quart that could shred a side..remembering Hawkins could not kick the goal either.

Would rather Close over Atkins if that eventuates.

Craig Jennings on SEN . Midfield mark differential is on top of the cats whiteboard. Cats will pay attention to D50 ground ball contests. Cats experience and game nous is a factor. Chris Scott is Jennings favourite coach.

He does a bit of smashed avocado about him but certainly switched on with all the X and O's ..

Id really like an atkins type in our def group ... Charlie Cameron dreams about playing cats in. finals..

Reckon O’Connor should get first crack. My impression is that Cameron can struggle against the taller backs. Grimes has beaten him on a few occasions easily. O’Connor will be better overhead one on one. Is quick though not as quick as Cameron. I think he’s our best matchup.

He may our best match up... but Charlie is pretty slick and creative. We dont need any have punch spoils going over the back this week

On the flip side we have had to come the long way so how well will we run out the game against this fresher younger Lions outfit is the question.

This will be no excuse whatsoever for mine.

We have always detested the bye, and play much better with continuity. Our inane record of 'never win after the bye, never lose the following week) is ample proof of that. Shorter games (and what amounted to a 'quarter off' on Saturday night) also mitigate the concern of 'too much footy' for us.

And, when the ball is bounced on Saturday night, the Lions will have played one game in 26 days. That would have been potentially disastrous for us, so we'll have to wait and see how they handle it. If we can be up and about early (and convert), it could be really hard for them to get rolling. Take the sting (and the crowd) out of the equation, and we have every possible chance.

'Never complain, never explain', Cats. Just get it done...

So according to caro the afl really want brisbane in the gf, to get football in qld on the front pages.

Should we be looking for dodgy umpiring all going brisbane’s way then?
Wouldn't have thought so.
They'll most likely get more 50/50 calls due to crowd though, just something you have to deal with as the away team.

Section 22, Row B for me :D. Row B being essentially front row as they don't sit anybody directly on the boundary at the moment :D
I'm 3 sections around from you, if the game was H&A I might even be able to tell you what was being said in the dugout ;)

Play Danger out of the square and bring in a mid for mine.

The umpiring will be ugly you can bank on it, unfortunately the AFL is Aussie Mafia controlled and Lions get the nod.

They will be knackered, from constantly shifting their zone defense, as they chase the game. I'm not worried about running out of puff. (Touch wood)

Was worried about this too. AFL love fairytales.
All the more reason to win big and take the umpires out of it.

Here’s my (Cats) ideal world prediction for next two weeks:

Tigers v Port : Brutal gruelling and nail biting win to Port. Several injuries and lots of sore players
Cats v Lions. : Another fizzer which cats win comfortably.
GF: Port do a giants and check out for the day.( Having done a collingwood the week before)
Fairy tales for Ablett and Harry. Danger gets his premiership and the Norm Smith.
Monkey leaps off Scott’s back and attaches to Ken Hinkley.

How’s that for optimism GC-26 ?
Thing is, its all possible.

Hah love it!! Think we will win and go all the way for a flag. In saying that won’t be disrespectful to Brisbane as they are a decent side also.

very confident if we get port Adelaide we win based off two weeks ago, they couldn’t have played better and had everything going right for them, and we still had chances to win the game. Won’t happen again like that on a neutral venue. if we get Richmond it’s a closer one.

the first quarter of Saturday will determine the result.

backing a geelong win and we go all the way for a premiership.

He's only played one final against us. The Crows entire team had a night out in that prelim. Even Jenkins kicked 4 goals in that game. It's not like he has consistently beat up on us in finals? Having said that, we really need to deny him as much time and space as possible, because he is dangerous against any team and opponent.
