I think you really have to wait to see how Ess perform against Coll

Ithink theve beaten GoldCoast GWS and Haw - level with StKin the last qtr - but the Saints were too good for them - they did have a nice win win against Melb last week - but where are Melb at -very hard rating alot of teams this year

Coll are just about the measuring stick in the comp at the moment - so i will be interested to see how Ess perform on Tues
We will need Close, Miers and Ollie at their very best without both Rohan and Stengle. That defensive pressure Rohan applies is huge.

Not sure.
I thought Cam was very good. 60% game time, and lots of involvement, great linkup play. Maybe he is less recognisable without the hair, but worth a vote.
I wouldn't have quite given him a vote but he was excellent especially on the inside. I think some people around here see a poor kick or almost getting run down once and immediately think he had a bad game. His kicking still seems a bit off but the rest of his game was top notch.

Do we know where that's reported because it's not mentioned in the krock match write-up
Jase Doughtery mentioned it in the KROCK coverage postgame.

I wouldn't be surprised if Simpson is the sub before coming back in next week. He got a bit of a bang on the knee and has barely played any footy recently so giving him reduced minutes second week back is an option.

I assume Bews will return.

Do we go for Ceglar on the wide open MCG? Given the ground I'd prefer Blicavs but Draper and Phillips are big boys so Ceglar might match up well with them. If it's a GF I think I leave Ceglar out but it might be asking too much of Blicavs to expect him to carry the ruck week in week out at the moment.
Given Draper and Phillips I would have thought a fresh Ceglar for sure. Sub him out at 3 qtr time.

Only interesting aside is that Essendon will be coming off a 5 day break and a pretty huge game…wonder if that has impact on the big guys, in particular Phillips. So maybe we can stick with SDK and Blitz? I still think they will try Ceglar - otherwise no point having him on the list?

I searched everywhere on KROCK site (and other sites) and no mention. Injuries for the game listed as nil

Hoping he mis-spoke?

In any event I think he could be sub as a way of managing him - and leave Simpson in the 22. And bring Bews in for Rohan?

Then of course we have Ceglar - maybe they could manage 2E given Bews in back?

Phillips is an ok matchup for ceglar i would play him and sub him off after 3 qtrs.

Chris Scott said in his post-match press conference Cam Guthrie wasn't injured. They subbed him off just to give Knevitt a run and Cam a rest. Nothing to see here.

Wouldn’t say huge but does have a good chase from time to time … nabbed one last week! As for O. Henry not sure what the plan is with him because he just doesn’t venture more than 30m out from goal… I mean players look for Hawkins first then Rohan leading from the goal square so what is Henry actually doing? Why not use his aerial ability around half forward as another option if Jez is double teamed? Would like to see O. Henry more involved or he might as well go to the VFL.

Rohan dropped after 4 dropped chest marks? Fair enough… seemed to half a…. It last week. One great chase down and assist to Cameron but not much more…
Rohan is always a low possession player. 11 is above average for him.

FIVE tackles, a goal, an assist, 3 marks (one contested), 3 intercepts and 8 score involvements. Was a handy little game actually.

Rohan wont be dropped - may be out with slight pinged hammy perhaps.

His defensive work is absolutely crucial around the ground and espically in the F50…Ollie will need to really work on that in the next few years

If he kicked a bit straighter it would have been a seriously good game from him.
Was a bit fumbly which is unlike him, but his defensive work was top notch.

Good chance to keep our winning streak going for at least another 5 matches:
  • Bombers: they'll be coming off a 5 day break and are still missing their number 1 forward (Peter Wright)
  • Adelaide: at GMHBA
  • Richmond: they've been poor recently and still missing a few key players, none bigger than Tom Lynch
  • Freo: they've been abhorrent
  • GWS: they've been abhorrent and have a growing injury list
