I searched everywhere on KROCK site (and other sites) and no mention. Injuries for the game listed as nil

Hoping he mis-spoke?

In any event I think he could be sub as a way of managing him - and leave Simpson in the 22. And bring Bews in for Rohan?

Then of course we have Ceglar - maybe they could manage 2E given Bews in back?
2E has just found some form so yeah nah for me on that

Rohan will stay

Need to keep backline getting stronger so maybe OH sub and Bews in

Kinda wanted the Dons to get the Anzac win so they would maybe party for a little bit and not knuckle down 100% for Sunday.

Still don't know how they got so far ahead... Bunch of no-name guys that couldn't handle the heat in the last (Dons fans will be going bezerk).

Pies have plenty of heart... Nick Daicos will probably win the Brownlow in his 2nd season (still dirty the Pies weren't made to pay top dollar for him on draft night).

Anyway bring on Sunday... If we are switched on we should get the job done.

Does any team really do anything like that in season anymore?

No doubt there's players who enjoy a night out, but with the professionalism of the league, teams & players, but not sure there's really that party/celebration mentality on display now days

Not sure about the stats... But I get the feeling plenty of teams seem to have a bit of a downer after a huge win.

Not saying they go out partying etc... But maybe just take the foot off 1% and on a short break personally I'd rather play them coming off a tight win than a tight loss.

Sure they are pros... Plenty don't act like it behind closed doors though.

We should be able to handle them either way this Sunday.

Laverde subbed off with an injury, their best tall back. Will be a big plus for us if he misses.
They're not a strong team for key forwards or backs as it is. So if Laverde joins Wright (from start of season...but they still miss him) it will be not much different to facing Sydney last week. We have such a crucial advantage over most teams in those areas.

Yep... Reckon they'll struggle a bit more with Hawkins/Cameron than they did today with whoever the hell was the Pies tall forwards.

Worriers fear Essendon may cause a surprise upset win.
The current ladder positions flatters a number of teams
Average teams try start the season fit to get momentum
This fitness advantage tends to even out after six rounds
Essendon are one of those teams hoping to finish top 8
Cats have now reached full match fitness and purring along.
To win Dons need a fast start and everything to fall their way.
Cats simply need to show up in a mood to play hard.
Not only do Cats have incentive to win to finish in top 4 spot
They have an extra gear of pressure and ability to score quickly.
Also are good enough to require Ceglar to simply break even.
Cats are hungry and focused on 4 points and percentage.
Bombers will suffer the same fate as Cats last three opponents.

Essendon are not a bad side. But they are borderline finalists and don't have the kind of weapons we do. Short break after a game in which they were overrun is a perfect scenario for us. If we play well, we win well.
It will be a mistake going into this game thinking Collingwood have done our job for us,I'm sure that will be drummed into the boys through the week.

No change for me, if there are no injuries.

Bombers don't have a big forward line, so happy to use SDK as a backup to Blicavs in the ruck again.

Bews was struggling (had plenty of mates) prior to head knock, so happy for him to comeback through the vfl.

Just come to play and we'll win. Essendon have got talent, but they're a couple years off their best when the likes of Perkins, Martin, Hobbs etc begin to peak.

Expect a tight contest to half time and we'll break free in the third.

No mention of Rohan and a Hamstring.

Brandon Zerk-Thatcher is out best tall back but yeah, Laverde probably out. I think we play Baldwin in defence to try to cover that.

Up to 5 or 6 changes for us. Can't see us risking Stringer or Phillips off the short turnaround plus Laverde out. Heppell is cooked but probably stays in. Caldwell should be fine but he did brush golden boy Daicos so expect him to be given 100 weeks really.
