Oh I almost forgot to mention how sad is it that Hawkins fell short of 800 goals, Cats should’ve played him as they weren’t gonna win the flag anyway. I would’ve admitted he was better than Riewoldt if he reach 800 but alas he’s finished up worse, that’s gotta hurt.

The fact you specifically wrote fully healthy means you know we weren’t and are saying it to troll.

imagine calling someone a troll and then pretending to think the headline captured in that post was quoted from Geelong

Cats have a unique ability to lose the unloseable finals games. Unloseable before the game begins based on history, and some finals unloseable during the game based on big leads against their opponents.

2013 QF against Freo at Kardinja Park. From 1995-2013, Cats were 12-1 against Freo at KP, their last loss was 2005. They beat them by 41 points earlier in 2013 in H&A. Lost the final by 15.

Heading into 2017 QF, Cats had won their last 13-games against Richmond. They had not lost to Richmond at the MCG since 1999. They were 20-1 v Tigers since 2000. Somehow they lost. Coughed up big leads in 2019 PF and 2020 GF also.

Had not lost to Lions in Melbourne since 2004. Lost the PF in 2024 despite leading by 25-points in the third quarter. Their last loss to Lions in Melbourne? A PF no less.

Against Sydney leading into 2016 PF were 10-2 in last 12 games in Victoria v Sydney. We’re behind 47-5 at quarter time .

Were 11-0 in last 11 games v Hawks leading into 2013 PF. Led by 20 at 3/4 time and lost.

Were 14-1 in last 15 games against Demons leading into 2018 EF. Were down 33-2 at 1/4 time and lost.

You’ve got to admire the Cats ability to keep making finals. But you also can’t help but be bewildered by their unique ability to cough up finals against teams they’ve been absolutely dominant against in H&A.

Results in previous seasons are irrelevant. Even previous games in the same season arent relevant.

Coleman’s 3 to 1. Will be remembered better. Poor fella, at least he has his farm and BF poll that people use to troll with.
remembered better by who? the poll doesn't lie. As a spoonmond fan you should be very confident in polls

Hurt who? You, because you think anyone rates your opinion?

Opinions change over time, BF is a specific demographic with a small sample size. Most BF people get pissed off with Richmond supporters which affects their voting.

Fact is 10, 20 years from now all people will see is Jack having 3 times the amount of Coleman’s, more club leading goal kickers, highest goals in a season, higher goal per game average and part of a dynasty. Discussion is over at that point.

No they won’t. Hell, Cameron will probably never win another Coleman and he will be remembered as a better player than Jack as well.

You better tell that to Collingwood who have won less Grand Finals in the last 66 years than Richmond did in the last 7.

Or St Kilda, or North, or Bulldogs or...you get the picture. :)
In the era of equality and equalisation with drafts and spending caps, it will eventually happen id you are shit enough for long enough like richmond. Richmond stumbled their way to a few years of success, they didnt build it off good work.

26 years of failed AFL seasons and embarrassments and endless high draft picks eventually led to a small period of success.

Now richmond is back where they belong. You guys are just a poorly run club.

Now quit your bellyaching, get back to where you belong and be acceptibg of that wooden spoon!

Lol, yep of course, poorly run clubs play finals 8 of the last 12 seasons and win 3 flags and a minor premiership, a VFL flag...happens all the time. 🤣

I couldn't believe the maths... I had to count it 3 times...

Richmond FC has missed finals 25 times since the introduction of the AFL national competition and a full time pro comp.

That is 25/34 seasons not making the finals.

You call that a well run club? That is a failed AFL club as a hollistic picture.

Richmond fails and staggers its way to success. Geelong builds and manages success.

Now... Back to the bottom where you belong!

You may wish to look up the definition of the word dynamic.

Because that is what the world is. Richmond were poorly run from the early 80's until around 2006, when by degrees they started putting the house in order. Once they got a chance to do that, and for the necessary lags to expire, we can see how well run they were. In 12 seasons since, 8 times in finals and 3 flags, and a minor, VFL flag, hatful of VWFL flags.

The club has just suffered a horrendous season in terms of player availability, which would be largely out of the control of key decision makers. If that corrects itself, you and others will see once again just how well run the club is. The trouble for you is that when you finally see it, we will need to be commiserating with you over more finals losses at our hands.

Exactly right.

They want to count flags from the AFL era only. But then include years from our drought in the VFL era. They want to have their cake and eat it too. Literally, like look what happened to Porkins.

In the AFL era you went 27 years winning 2 finals. We don’t need to have our cake and eat it to. You sucked then as much as you did for the lead in to it.

That gif sums up Richmond and Geelong in finals

Since 2006 you have missed finals 11 times. That is 11/18, So to say from that year you were a well run club is a laugh.

There is nothing dynamic or even remotely close to the word about richmond. You are a club with a rich AFL history of failures with a small patch of success.

A broken clock is right twice a day, and even a failed footy club with enough draft picks year on year will eventually strike some success.

Richmond is holistically in the AFL era a poorly run club outside of a 4 year period.

I haven't gone into VFL nor care. Ever since the AFL era came in Richmond has overwhelmingly been an unsucessful poorly run club. You have missed finals over that period a whopping 24/34 years. That is atrocious and embarrasing.

Things are back to the norm after your small patch of success

An unsuccessful poorly run club yet still owns Geelong where it counts, talk about embarrassing
