Strong rumours (from Caro on Footy Classified) that the board are re-thinking the Josh Carr succession planning and will throw it open at seasons end.

Caro absolutely hooked into Jeff Kennett on Footy Classified last night. Listed the litany of disasters during his reign (appointment of Reeves for 5 years which led to a payout, Clarkson/Mitchell plan that lead to a payout) racism report that will lead to multiple payouts) etc. Wanted to know why then do the AFL and the Hawks still pander to him.

She rang him to get comment for the above story and he didn't respond which she noted in the article. He had a crack at her for this saying that it made him appear to have been involved.. Caro's response on the show last night "Jeff Kennett is an idiot".

Last footy classified update. In 2023 it was announced that Nick Riewoldt had been elected to the Hall of Fame but was overseas and would be honoured in 2024. The AFL was disappointed that Nick hadn't made time to appear this year either despite being in the country a couple of weeks earlier.
