8 free to 2 in favour of the Bombers, pretty much handed them 3 goals so far. Disappointing. The tigers are matching them, just getting a terrible run from the umps. Amazing to think these ****ing scum whinge more than any other club about the umps

This. Bombers back to being the golden boys of the umps, looks like the Weagles run is over.
It is good to see the Bombers peaking this early, people talk about their injuries but they have had a dream run with injuries aside from Hurley so far. They will get found out in the 2nd half of the year. They will not be able to keep this up for the full year. Bookmark it.

A few weeks back I rated the Tigers list as better than the Bombers. I have to say I was wrong. Any team that keeps picking Nahas, Miller and Tuck must really be poor. They have some names, Cotch, Lids, Rance, Riewoldt, but Martin is a choker, Newman is uninspiring, Maric is workmanlike but not much of a match turner, King is a one trick pony, Houli and Grigg just players, and throw a blanket over the rest, just vanilla. Not that the Bombers have much going for them besides media hype but they do look better than the tigers at the moment, but lets reassess when the bombers bubble bursts in about 3 weeks.
Haha, they just pinged Maric for holdings the ball when Stanton actually had it in his hands. And then a 50 to gift them their 4th from a free. Good work umps. Tigers absolutely smashing them this qtr, just can't finish their work

For the Bummers to keep their form up they would essentially have to emulate their team of 2000, who were clearly heads and shoulders above the rest that year

). Not bloody likely. Athletes peak and trough; look at marathon runners, their programs go through cycles simply because you cannot be at your absolute peak, physically and mentally, for an extended period of time. I'm thinking the Arse are at their mental peak about now.
