Ask and we'll try our best to assist - so here's 2024 Provisional AFL Draft Order

As normal, would like to acknowledge & thank Lore for creating this, keeping it up to date and making it available for all users on BF to use and keep track of the picks ahead of the upcoming draft

I'll also sticky this post to ensure it's easily accessible for discussion of our hypothetical trader

Also,

I agree it seems like a strange move, but there's often talk that St. Kilda might play Marshall forward more often.

Not that I'd do it, but there could be a spot for him if they decide to do that.

Then what happens with King?

Or are they playing King, Marshall, Caminiti & Wood all in the same forward line? Plus Membrey who while more that medium/third tall type, plays well as a lead up option

I'll love to see how Ross Lyon can balance their tall options

Do you have any names that feel closer to 'likely' if that makes sense?

I'd crawl across broken glass to get Butters to Geelong. If we got him and Smith we're talking premierships for at least another 5 years.

Even if he wants us though, I just can't see it happening if we're not giving up someone like SDK, which we already believe doesn't have any legs.
Nah I'm not having much luck.

There's always a degree of inevitability this time of year with Geelong attached to a whole list of trades that never get done. I think we've been open about wanting to strengthen our midfield and it's had plenty of media focus. When names like Butters and Oliver are floating around, I just think they'll find a way to link Geelong.

I don't have any other names but I do get a sneaky feeling that we'll be up to our eyeballs on someone other than Smith. If what I'm being told is correct then that deal was "locked" some months back. Mackie and Wells have had plenty of time to cook up something else to land a few others.

I spoke to someone who knows Duncan's oldies yesterday.

Apparently he is definitely keen to go on.

Although has cooked vibes about him.

I mean a fit Mitch Duncan playing as a sub... That isn't a great sign.

If he hangs around offering good leadership behind the scenes and at a low wage then I'd live with that.
Id be keen too... $$$$$$$$$

I fully expect the club to arrogantly go in light on rucks and then get to the middle of 2025 with Stanley and Conway both injured and watch our season fall apart.
Need to grab the Essendon kid.. Should have happened a year ago.

😂 if he makes this move, could one suggest that Soldo may have a bit of the Preuss mentality about him - behind Nank at Richmond so moves to Port

Gets stuck behind Sweet at Port and looks to move again, but to a team with a clear #1 ruck in Marshall...

It's like Preuss moving from North to Melbourne when all knew he wouldn't be their #1 - unsure why Soldo would look at St Kilda

I assume hes been told marshall will play fwd. Maybe we could lever marshall out of there next year?

Membrey is out of contract and maybe they wont sign him (free agent) and caminiti played chb at the end of the year.
