Nov 1 to Nov 8: Delisted free agency period
Nov 20-21: Telstra AFL Draft

finished 6th in the B&F in a premiership year then runner up last year. He was in our first mid rotation come finals.

He's being asked to do more than you'd want but the chance a long term VFL player becomes better than him is extremely slim.

We are looking for explosion I'd say.

The only way I see us trading up is if we have a definite player we want who slips.

Surely he need to be drafted by a club that he is a legit chance of getting a game. Rich have just run a train thru their list… one would think they could find a spot for someone like him while their young star picks … get some age and games..

Not how it works. Hardie doesn’t get games bc he isn’t good enough.

Rich, Nth etc etc will just prioritise youth. The only chance he has is with a club who considers themselves a contender

When you've been trying for as long as he has, I imagine the closure of just finally being able to know for certain if you're good enough or not would be enough for him.

The agony or ecstacy of the end result would be lessened by that cathartic release he'd receive.

He's already sitting in the VFL anyway, it doesn't change much from a risk/reward POV.

I guess one would have to ask Hardie if he felt he had a chance …or is having a chance getting a chance to show what you could do at the top level? No doubt being on the list is an achievement… and glimpse inside the pro environment.
