We get: Gibbs, 77 this year. Pick 19-25, Pick 37-43 next year.
Blues get: 10, 16, 73 this year. Pick 30-36 next year.

We still have 2 first rounders and a high 2nd rounder next year which is confirmed to be much better than this year.

Lets see what we get for Cameron now. If we can get back into the first round (12) then I'm happy.

Very good deal for Carlton. You'd hope Ogilvy has little regard for what's available in this draft. Strengthens our hand for next years draft a little though. Carltons 2nd likely to be reasonable and likely little difference between our second next year and their 3rd.

Puts a bit of pressure on us to do well though.

Fully expecting a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth, but it actually isn't that bad.
Carlton get to boast of getting their 2 first round picks.
We get Gibbs and strengthen our hand in next years (widely believed to be stronger) draft. We keep our 2 1st round picks in 2018 and upgrade our 2nd and 3rd round picks. All in a draft with a larger number of quality SA kids.

On the back of this though, I would 100% trade Cameron for pick 12. Must get back in to this years draft.
