Marty Clarke is on 9 games, so this weeks final will put him over the qualifying limit

qualification is no more than 10 games at the start of the season...so Marty Clarke will be eligible next year IF Collingwood lose this week


so basically he can't be nominated next year

I wouldn't write off a midfielder like Cotchin, Masten and Palmer or Kreuzer for that matter from winning it next year.

The Kreuzer might play forward if Carlton draft him and trade Fevola.

Leuenberger should start favourite for the award, but Tom Hawkins will still be eligible if he doesn't play a final.

Scary thought.

Grigg, Everitt, Hampson - unlikely but he's eligible and a promising ruck, Joe Anderson(he's a beaut ) and Gumbleton should get nominations.
