That both Brendon and Sean have returned to Melbourne already with the rest of the team is great news. Let's hope they are as well as can be expected and that there is minimal impact on both of their seasons.

Some pretty poor attempts at humour in this thread... I thought the first comment about facial injuries was prety good but they seemed to become a bit less jovial after that... a lot of tall poppy syndrome heading in Nick's direction from some seriously inferior human beings.

Back on topic, really hoping for the best from both the players, as soon as I saw the replay a couple of times I wasn't too worried about BJ, I have serious nerve pain and his response looked to me like nerve pain more than anything else. You can usually tell nerve pain apart from any muscular, skeletal or ligament type injury by the response. If it is a dislocation, broken bone or muscular tear you usually grab the source of the pain, where as Goddard was shaking all over that indicates to me that the pain seemed to be all over which is often the case with nerve pain, it is very hard to isolate the source of the pain. I am optimistic that BJ will play this week and Sean will be in the week after.

For the record, I have absolutely no medical training and I don't claim to, I just hope whatever happens his long term well being is secure.

Edit: Also fantastic effort from the Freo medical team to help out on two separate occasions. A lot of class shown by the medicos and the club, well done.
