He just took a really nice contested mark inside 50 at full pace but again missed the set shot. Obviously an area he needs to work on but the early signs are exciting!

Might surprise some but Read has been thrown in the ruck about halfway through the fourth quarter. He was able to rove the ball and start an attacking play and he's doing this in his first ever game of senior footy! This kid is special.

Our VFL lads get a 68-point win in the end and are back on top of the ladder. One round to go next week and we're equal for wins with Werribee with a 7% advantage on them. So as long as we have a decent win against Carlton next week then we should claim our first ever VFL minor premiership.
Read played in the ruck throughout the game not only in the last quarter and did reasonably well even against Ladhams.

Congrats on him and Rogers having a go at the seniors (will benefit them long term) there is strong suspicion especially in the southern states that draft prospects are being told not to play state league to avoid the possibilty of getting low stats which will harm their brand and draft tanking . This is why you are seing kids recruited from colts and even school footy. Should be a rule you need to play a senior game before you get drafted.

Admittedly I didn't watch the entire game but I thought he was exclusively playing full forward in the first half. Good to see it wasn't just at the end that they threw him in the ruck. I was very impressed with his ability to still compete against AFL listed players. No wonder he's predicted to be bid on with a top 5 pick!

Read is awesome, honestly more excited for him than Walter simply because I am curious about what he becomes.

Would have been fun to watch walter play some vfl games, reckon he would have kicked a bag today with the amount of ball coming in. Seems Rogers is used in very small bursts which I think makes it difficult for him to work into the game.

Absolutely and what about Tsitas the 2 of them are not remotely close to AFL level. Very disappointing.

Can only assume it was to gift Day his 150th before showing him the door at seasons end, and giving McLaughlin the chance to secure the Frosty. However, I’m sure McLaughlin would rather make his senior debut, which he fully deserves.

Would have liked Read or Dawson in to cover the loss of Chol’s height and rucking.
